We decided to go to Windwalker after having one of their Zins at a local restaurant. The winery seems like it's in the middle of nowhere, but is definitely worth the trip! The tasting room is large, but warm and friendly. Lots of things to look at for the wine or beer drinker, the chef, or just for fun. A couple of whites on the tasting menu, I enjoyed the Grand Chardonnay. Loads of reds, with several that are made from varietals that you normally don't see (Alicante Bouschet, for one). The 2013 Zinfandel was a favorite! There are also a few dessert wines. And you get to try as many or as few as you like! There is no charge for the tasting. We even got to meet the owner, who was friendly and FUN! Make the trip to Windwalker, you won't regret it!

WOW!!! Most places make you pick a few, 5 at the most. This place, she wanted us to try them all. We tried a lot. All very good. My favorite was the Malbec. A big tasting room with a lot of gift items to purchase. The grounds are very nice. Loved the beautiful tree that they built the deck around.

We started our day of wine tasting at this winery. We were happy with our choice. No charge to taste. We ended up trying four or wine wines. Bought a couple bottles. The area is nice.. clean bathrooms and plenty of parking.

We've been here before and we like it very much. The staff are friendly and knowledgable about their wines and the tasting rooms are relaxed, modern and comfortable. The wines are to our taste and the Sangiovese is special. We ended up buying a case and since it was a hot day our pourer suggested that we leave the case ( and another from a different winery) with them rather than run the gauntlet of having them damaged in our car. We picked up the wine later and the lady who poured for us carried one of the cases to our car. Nice touch! Wind Walker has a deck area which is shady and breezy and that's where we enjoyed lunch. Great winery!
