Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The village is not bad, it is quite steep, but it is peaceful and has great views of the surrounding area. The castle once belonged to the Marquis de Sade, now it is a kind of art museum with various exhibitions. We didn't go in because the entrance seemed expensive.

While visiting our daughter at SCAD, we walked up to the chateau behind the campus. It's a short walk marked with two signs. It's also accessible by vehicle. You can walk around the chateau, but not inside the main building. There are some open gates, open doors, you can go into the bottom floor of a turret, and walk in the moat. There was a blooming cherry tree, and there are some sculptures up there. There is an informal parking area. Very back-in-time. There is no fee for this activity. Small children should b watched by parents so that they don't fall from heights, an those with mobility issues will have to take care. There are no ropes, fences, etc. to keep people from falling from heights. No formal supervision.

Fascinating venue for a variety of fine arts performances, and other styles of shows. The charming and ancient village below is characteristic of the surrounding Louberon region. Lovely restaurant in town with additional views and reasonable prices.

The chateau is at the top of the ancient village - it is a very steep walk but worth it for the views. The chateau is small and interesting - the entry price is high for a short visit. The walk up, the ancient streets and the views on the climb are charming. However, stamina is required - the cobbled streets are very steep and if you have mobility issues not sensible. The chateau can be approached by road to avoid the climb - there is ample parking.

Lovely village and nice walk to the Chateau. Interesting artwork and picturesque views. A steep climb, so have proper footwear. You can drive to the top, but it’s rather narrow. The weather was absolutely perfect!

We visited here one afternoon and were amazed at the gorgeous views of the surrounding countryside. When we return, we’ll be sure to bring a picnic to enjoy for lunch or for an early supper to enjoy the sunset-I’ll bet that the colors would be breathtaking.

We drove to the top of Lacoste and enjoyed a brief walk around the viewpoints of the Chateau. The view of the valley below is worth the drive up.

Lacoste is a beautiful village that is well worth the visit, just don't pay 12 euros to go round the chateau that consists of 3 rooms with no exceptional furniture and some colourful cow and giraffe sculptures in the unkept garden that you can see anywhere. Recommended length of visit 10 minutes. The 2 best sculptures are in front of the chateau so can be seen without paying. This visit should be no more than 3 euros. Shame on you, Pierre Cardin.

This is well worth the visit. The village is lovely and they have gone to the trouble of putting on an exhibition in the cottages. The art work is interesting at the Château read the history of the Marquis de Sade, interesting. Great views across to Bonnieux.
