We visited the distillery May of 2018, during the Speyside Festival (highly recommend)! The new areas were not all open as yet but the feel is more modern than I like, if you are into the new this works but honestly, I loved the old...More

Beautiful eco friendly building and near carbon zero. Lovely warm welcome and a fascinating tour of this modern distillery. Very disappointed that they had ‘Run Out’ if Drivers Packs instead of a tasting in this day and age. It lets down a great experience.More

The new Macallan visitor centre and thevrelocated distillery is a revolutionary concept. The building is almost invisible in itsvlocal surroundings and yet/the interior is full,of wow moments. Given that the website itself admits you can’t travel to Macallan by public transport, I couldn’t quite believe that drivers were expected to pay for their own bottles to take the samples home to taste. Essentially you’re asked to either drive under the influence or...More
