Large parts date back to Norman times with later Gothic additions. The mouldings around the main doorway are exceptional. Another interesting feature is the Leper's Squint, an opening... More

I could be biased as my parents and grandparents were married in this magnificent building. 1069 was the year they started building and so in 2019 it will celebrate it's 950th anniversary. It you like church buildings this will knock you out and the staff/clergy are so friendly and helpful. And yes, there is the "Washington" window.

This Abbey Church is a wonderful old building exuding historical facts and tragedies. It has some of the most beautiful and interesting medieval stained glass windows I have ever seen. Very interesting architecture. Beautifully presented.

Dominates the town centre and we were surprised at the size compared to the size of the town. Worth a visit

Like a small cathedral this is a delightful, well-proportioned building which is full of amazing pieces of historic craftmanship. The stone carvings on the capitals of the pilars are beautiful as are the stain glass windows. Dont miss it
