About
This golf course, designed by the great Seve Ballesteros, brings innovation to golf architecture. The design of its spectacular holes and open fairways, surrounded by oaks and hollies, make playing at Izki a unique experience to enjoy golfing and nature alike. Seve has made these courses beautiful and highly-demanding for the players. Always aware of the environment, native species, and natural surrounds. A good example of this is Izki Golf, founded in 1994 is the fisrt public course in Spain. Izki Golf numbers: 18 holes, par 72, distributed along 98 hectares, with a total length of 7 kilometers

This is a beautiful golf course, set amongst stunning scenery.
The practice facilities are excellent. There is a driving range with the option of hitting off grass. There is a chipping area on to a very well kept green and also a separate putting green.
Izki Golf course was designed by Seve Ballesteros and it shows, as it is a real challenge. All the par threes are pretty long for the average golfer – no bunting it on to the green with a gentle 8 iron here! The par fours all seemed to be getting on for at least 400 metres. Their difficulty was compounded by the quality of the fairways. They were lush, with virtually no run-on. Any shot slightly fat inevitably became obese. The first cut was even worse and the rough was as clingy as a wet tee-shirt to a super model. The signature hole was probably the par four 13th. I defy any non-single figure golfer to get a regulation par on it.
The greens were in excellent condition, although the green keeper was either trying to protect them or was a sadist, as the pin positions were often very tricky. The bunkers were some of the best I have been in for some time.
Apart from the course, which is great fun, the setting is fabulous. It is incredibly tranquil, apart from the odd rattle of golf ball on tree and the scenery is beautiful. The last few holes in particular, offer fabulous vistas across the mountains and forests.
The club house is well-furnished and roomy, affording good views of the course and providing an adequate selection of food.
A number of tournaments are played at the course, but when we went (middle of October) it was pretty quiet. There appears to be a very small membership – it is in quite a remote spot, and we more or less had the course to ourselves. My one tip would be that if you are playing at that time of the year, you are better teeing off at around noon. On the two occasions we played, we started at 10 am. It was pretty wet because of the heavy overnight dew and on the second time quite misty, which didn’t clear until about 11.30. By the afternoon the course had dried out quite a lot.
Izki Golf is a challenge for virtually any player and incredible value at 28 euros a round. It is a fabulous course and a must for any golfer in the area.

Lovely golf out of the blue... I’ve played 5 rounds in the beautiful courses surrounded by mountain...
I’m a 1.4 handicap and I really like well maintenance golf course.... and this one is in perfect conditions... Actually Européen tour pro play there every may... the course follow the usga standard!!!
The traps have the best possible sand ever... pga standard... large practice area !!
Anyway... if you have the chance to play there ... it’s worth it!!! Probably the best quality-price in Spain !!!!

A long top quality course with very good greens and great views of the mountains . It's set in a huge forest miles from anywhere so the only noise you hear are the birds singing . The pro shop could not have been more helpful . Well worth a trip !!

A very scenic drive to arrive at this club. Very friendly and English speaking reception. The course is very well laid out but occasional long walk from green to tees .
We used a buggy which made this more enjoyable. Excellent condition and not too busy.
You would not pass this by chance but an absolute must if in the area.
