The museum is actually a park filled with steam locomotives. Access if free. There are 14 steam locomotives on display (most of them are built in Resita). Some technical details are presented for each locomotive. The piece de resistance is a locomotive from 1872.

If you come to Resits you must see Muzeul Locomotivelor. You can find all type of train engines from the first type with steam.

It is located in the central part of Resita, an open-air museum. It contains wonderful steam locomotives, but unfortunately it is not very well promoted by the public administration.

There are alot of steam locomotive, it`s a part of history in a park dedicated to them. It`s free to visit, you can take photo`s and even you can climb on them, but i dont recomand that.

If you are passing trough Resita i recomend that you make a 10 minute break just to see this. It is outside and the entrance is free. You can see all types of locomotives with steam engine.
