We drove into Arthur's Pass as it started snowing, so we didn't get to see much of the viaduct sadly! However, it felt like a nice safe road to drive on in the snow!

Just off the main road. Fantastic view of the Viaduct on a clear day. Definitely worth the stop to get some great photos.

Watch out for the friendly Kea! Be careful manoeuvring the car park as a lot of rubbish tourist drivers about.

When driving east along State Highway 73 before entering Arthur's Pass Village, there is a nice viewpoint pullover called the Otira Viaduct Lookout. This is an elevated position with outstanding views down into the valley and of the viaduct that you would have just driven...More

Quick stop at the viewpoint, what an amazing structure it is. Can see how it improved transport through here when you see where the old road went. Some 'friendly' keas came to say hello and see what they could remove from the car.

We were here on a cold rainy day but the view is good and worth a look for the span of the bridge through the valley.

They stop in the township which is a wee drive 10-15 minutes from memory from the viaduct
