Nice easy walk in the Village. some steps but not difficult. There were different types of plants than can be seen on some of the other walks nearby and many are labeled

This was a nice walk, but it took longer than suggested on the DoC website (almost 1.5 hours, with lots of photo stops). It was also much steeper than expected, with lots of quite high steps. However, take it slowly and it's a lovely walk....More

In the middle of Mt. Cook Village, lays this short bush walk that brings you to the environment that existed before men built up this village. Interesting!

A bit of climbing but a fairly easy walk. Don't expect a lot of wildlife as many species are extinct all over New Zealand due to predators.

This walk is very short one too. I enjoyed the rainforest! One can do this before going tohooker valley or kea point.

This walk is short. It is not far away from the village like Hooker Valley or Kea point. A good walk after meal! It takes roughly 15 mintues to complete.

Lovely short walk (approx. 45mins.) We're a family of 4 with two young kids. It starts close to the accommodation and has stunning ferns and mossy trees. Great way to pass the time when you don't want a long hike.

A rather easy hour long loop, good primarily to see the flora and kill some time, particularly in the rain ( we did it between showers)

Excellent bush walk from the village, a real surprise to walk into this forest with beautiful trees & one section looks amazing as it's filled with ferns. Lots of plant name signs along the walk & plenty of birdlife, a very nice surprise in this...More
