Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I always wanted to visit Deir Al Qamar early in the morning. I was there at 7ham. It was fresh and beautiful. There were no clouds in the sky. It was pure blue. And thank God it was hot yet. I visited the place. There are lots to see. Marie Baz museum. The mosque and the church. I also recommend to buy from a souvenir shop called Marie Boueiz. It's one of the cheapest souvenir shops in lebanon. And I practically visited most of them. The other souvenir shops that is cheaper are the ones inside souk el franj in Saida.

Deir al Qamar is a small and typical village of the "shouf" a region at Mont Lebanon. It takes 45 minuets driving from the capital Beirut.Arriving to the center of this village where you can find the historical square (Dany Chamoun). In the middle of the square there is a fountain which supplies people with pure natural drinkable water this runs year-round. at the square you will find an old Mosque and an old Church close to each other expressing coexistence almost in all Lebanon. There are also:1- Youssef Chehab castle,2- a modest wax museum of "Marie Baz",
3-French Cultural center and library in an old typical house,4- some small shops of souvenirs and cafe's. It is advisable to have lunch at a restaurant facing the cultural center where you can enjoy the view of the old typical brick houses.

This beautiful square glistens in the sunlight as the stone has been polished smooth. The ensemble of buildings creates a harmonious balance. Morning light is great for photos.

Less than one hour drive from Beirut the village is worth the trip out. Lovely old square with restaurant for lunch and souvenir shops in needed. Explore the surrounding streets to the square while you are there as well as the beautifully restored Christian church, municipal building (Turkish Architecture) and old Emir palace. Great panoramic views and fresh air.

The square is a plain area with a few vendors and statue, but the surrounding streets with beautiful houses and scenery, cobble stone streets, beautiful historical church, and blooming flowers are a sight to see.

The main Deir al Qamar squarre with beautiful view on the most authentic palaces and buildings of the ancient Princes' City.

One car easily park is car on one border side of the road and have a walk by every monument where some are free for entrance and others have charges that do not exceed 10$ per person.

This small town is definitely worth a stop. There are a lot of restaurants to have a meal and plenty to explore. The main square is attractive and there are windy streets up the hill to visit the synagogue. The churches and mosque are also worth visiting.
