The Utiel-Requena Wine Route has pleasantly surprised us. We visited three wineries during our weekend stay, we did a wine tasting and a tasting of gastronomic products from the area. Its wines are extraordinary, a rich gastronomy, with a good offer in quality accommodation,

Love wine!!

This is the first vineyard I've been. I really enjoyed hearing the history and about the wine process. The best part of the trip was getting to taste all the different types of wine!

Wine Vineyards and Moor caves

We went to Valencia and travelled to Requena on a bus tour. The first stop was a vineyard which provided a guided tour of the facility and a tasting of the vineyard's wine. I learned very little about making wine, but I have been on many wine tours. It was fine, but I have had better wines many times. After the tour, we went to the city to do a little cave exploring which was interesting, but I'm not sure that it was worth the time. The city walk around was particularly boring and overall, we would have been better off staying in Valencia and having Paella and Bodegas Valderroa.
