- Sarah MLeigh-on Sea, United Kingdom10 contributionsNice simple townNot peek season when we visited but busy enough with people. Nice harbour with lots of bars and restaurants looking out. Pavements are a bit of a minefield if you have buggy or pram needs. Some huge drops. Lots of different types of hotels. Beaches aren’t the best if you’re looking for a sandy spot. Good bus links to cuitadella, take number 65. Buses are like Uk coaches, chuck your stuff underneath and then board. I’m sure it’s be heaving with brits in high season.Visited May 2024Travelled with familyWritten 14 May 2024
- José DSMarcoussis, France155 contributionsPretty seaside townPretty little seaside town in the southwest of the island of Menorca. The wild and natural character of the place is authentic. A hiking trail goes around the island and allows you to see magnificent and preserved natural sites (the GR 223). There is a small marina surrounded by a multitude of restaurants.Visited June 2024Travelled with familyWritten 12 June 2024
- mekonpeetWeybridge, United Kingdom16 contributionsA place with heart and friendlyThe area looks rather run down, but the atmosphere is good. There are 3 very local supermarkets, each of which is friendly and helpful. Covid and big business focus on the local marina have taken investment away and left this area to be run-down. However, it has a good atmosphere, the local cafes are very good and everyone is friendly. Do check out the little cafe on the corner next to Supermarket Artrutx. Best coffee in the area and lovely snacks. The owner and his wife are a truly lovely helpful couple. The lack of investment makes it very sad but the heart of the area is still stong. It grew on us over the 2 weeks we were there.Visited May 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 15 June 2024
- Angela H4 contributionsJust beautifulFabulous resort. Everything is close and accessible, and the views of the sea are just spectacular. It's very safe and friendly. Plenty of supermarkets, which may appear small by Uk standards, but they have so much choice and are reasonably priced considering their location. We have been many times and never want to come home.Visited June 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 4 July 2024
- Antony GDublin, Ireland17 contributionsGood area, well kept with plenty of amenities.Great area with nice beaches and good options for day and evening food. The hotel we stayed at was well positioned for the beaches and supermarkets. Recommend that you hire a car. Resort very clean overall and very chilled. Perfect for families/ couples etc. Will be back!Visited July 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 28 July 2024
- richard l17 contributionsBrilliant memoriesGreat family holiday in August 22,. The beach is white sand and clear blue sea with a look out over the ocean. Great for family's who like swimming in the sea and going on the pedlos. A near by cafe with English american food and also a small mini mart to buy water and sea toys from . Plenty of sun lounges on offer here so you will get a seat at a small cost. We stayed in two separate villas that was located in the area so we visited the beach often , but remember if your staying at the top of the hill there are many steep steps to walk up and down, although there are spaces to stop and get your breath.Visited August 2023Travelled with familyWritten 30 July 2024

- Sam WScarborough, United Kingdom34 contributionsLittle vegan choiceCala'n Bosch is a lovely quiet resort. The main beach can be incredibly busy but if you swim a little further out, it's quieter and the water is crystal clear and bath water warm! The seaweed was never an issue. There are a few lovely restaurants but unfortunately for us, this is not a vegan friendly resort. There was very little choice in any of the restaurants - vegetable paella, vegetable chow mein and boiled rice. The supermarkets did have oat and almond milk but no vegan cheese or other items. The resort is lovely but for us, disappointing food.Visited August 2024Travelled with familyWritten 22 August 2024
- memyBergamo, Italy311 contributionsSpectacular colors and great servizjExcellent cove but above all , well served: really 2 steps from parking lots, shops, burger kings, bars and restaurants. In addition to the cove of fine white sand, there is an area of rocks to discover and with excellent views. Spectacular sea colors despite the cloudy day. - Sophie U6 contributionsCala n BoschBeautiful island, seems surreal. The views are spectacular. The food, hotel and people are lovely. We went beginning of October for 4 days but still very hot. They was a few windy days but still very pleasant. And not as busy because most places were closed for the season. Lots of places to eat, plenty of little shop to buy snacks and gift from. Take comfortable shoes because they'd lots of places in walking distance. We got to the bus to cituadella, extremely busy. They pack on as many people as they can. So be prepared.Visited October 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 10 October 2024

Beautiful beach and small entertainment venue at the harbor that only has restaurants, a small supermarket and a somewhat larger supermarket in addition to four tourist shops that all sell the same knick-knacks.
So no real nightlife.
For the rest, Cala 'n Bosch only has three and four star hotels and long dead-end roads with a small supermarket in every street that all look the same.
If you really want to go somewhere then this location is not for you.
Everything that is a bit "live" can only be reached by bus, approximately 45 minutes to 1.5 hours away.
In general it is very quiet everywhere and there is no life here.

Ideal for couples and families. Lots to do and see. Cafes, restaurants and bars and shops all by the harbour. Beaches within walking distance. Great water park (which is free entry if you stay at Marinda Gardens)! Easy bus ride to the city of Cuitadella that is inexpensive and takes 15 minutes.

This is a lovely quiet harbour resort with 2 beaches. The beaches are quite small but very family friendly. Active lifeguards onside and at least 1 restaurant on site. Water is turquoise. The harbour has lots of good restaurants & a few bars. There are 3 or 4 hotels offering nightly entertainment of varying quality. Visiting Cuitadella (25 mins on the bus and €2.05 per person each way) highly recommended. Great markets, cool unusual shops and a family, friendly vibe.

Have to agree with the other reviews, this is a pretty cove with powder fine, white sand. However, it is also very popular. We arrived at 10.30ish and there were no sunbeds left, many reserved with towels similar to hotel pools. By 11am there was barely any room to lay a towel and so were almost shoulder to shoulder with others. No space to play bat and ball. Not complaining as we were part of the problem but the beach is a lot smaller than led to think. The beach restaurant was quick, friendly service but food (pizza and toasted sandwiches) were very lightly cooked. Strongly recommend walking 5 minutes up the road to the marina where there is a choice of lovely looking restaurants/ cafes. All in all, wish we hadn’t wasted most of a day of our holiday visiting.

Unfortunately the holiday was not ideal. The beautiful sea and the children's pool as well. The hotel pool was too small for the number of guests present. Water activities were impossible to do.
The restaurant was very noisy and there was always a wait before there was a free table. On the other hand the food was good.
The structure, I'm talking about the apartment part, was very old. The air conditioning in the apartment did not always work.
At the pool they took away a towel (note that you pay a 10 euro deposit) and when I went to complain at the reception I was told that seats cannot be reserved. I explained that we had gone for a swim but the answer was the same: a seat is available even if you go for a swim (when we returned there were clearly no more free seats). Sad, very sad to pay for a holiday and be so disappointed! However I will never return to this hotel again!

Lovely sandy beach with a cafe restaurant to the side serving food & drinks in the much needed shade. The water is clear and the cliff jumping into the crystal blue water is popular as ever. It only gets a 3 star from me as so much of the beach is taken up by the deck chairs which you have to pay for, leaving a very narrow strip for those who don’t want to be laying out on deckchairs. There are a few of the pedalos for hire, and again they take up a significant amount of space in the already very crowded beach.

I'm sorry to write this review, but it was a bad experience, I never had to get angry or nervous on holiday and at the village cala n bosch happened every day when you entered the restaurant. Bad food, very poor quality of the raw material, rotten fruit, Italian cook making an embarrassing pasta, glasses filled with whipped cream passed off as dessert............. Never I expected such a low level having paid above all a non-trivial amount.
The animation also quite banal and poorly prepared. Sincere I thought BRAVO was a guarantee, I will not book + with them

Not been here for many years but wanted a short flight so passed on our usual Canary Islands holiday.
To begin with everything appears to cost 50% more than the Canaries, the very few supermarkets are obviously aware this area is a tourist trap and charge accordingly.
The vast majority of the restaurants are around the marina( in fact there are nothing but restaurants around the marina) most of which employ the front of house tourist grabber for the same fixed price menus as next door resulting in an uncomfortable walk the gauntlet to the point where I even thought of having a T shirt made with “No Gracias” printed front and rear except they don’t appear to sell them here never mind customise them.
The food served in most of the restaurants is mediocre at best, cheap ingredients and portion sizes leaving you still hungry after 3 courses.
Some of the restaurants are offering “Wagu” beef but given the correct spelling is Wagyu I doubt it is genuine especially when it costs $150.00 upwards per kilo.
Expect to pay €4.50 - €5.00 for a large drought beer not the €2.50 suggested by the tour operators, a small bottle of beer is €4.00 at the hotel. There is no such thing as a Happy Hour it’s the same price all day everyday everywhere.
The nearby beach looks lovely from a distance with near white fine sand until you reach the shoreline and see the massive amounts of black seaweed in the water and dumped on the nearby rocks. I appreciate this is a worldwide natural occurrence but some intervention is needed as is evident in other destinations.
I think the biggest rip off here are the sun bed charges here at €20.00 per day for 2 loungers and umbrella, even the local council enjoys the profits from the monopoly.
OK this island is seasonal and not an all year round destination but I for one will not be donating my hard earned cash into this economy again.

pretty little seaside resort, the beach is quickly accessible from the shops and bars adjacent to the port. At the end of September, it was nice because there were fewer people everywhere. lots of English on vacation, courteous retirees. the beach is accessible to all, a public area, and deckchairs available for a fee, the coast is jagged with rocks, and a short walk to the Artrux lighthouse, nice. It’s worth 5/6 days!

Cala n bosch beach is nice beach surrounded by rock. Lots of teens were jumping from rocks into the sea, which was popular thing to do and rent pedalo at €25 with slide can fit about 4 to 5 people on.
Although bit of let down was, it is small and gets very busy, not much room in the sea or close to sea as too many people. Busy times around 10am - 4pm.
Sunbeds are €25 euro for 2 beds, but most people buy a brolly and just sit on towels on the sand, can get beach brollies from local shops, one of cheapest shops was over the little step bridge that separates the marina.

Hello,
There are quite a lot of shops in the resort to check if not the larger town of Ciutadella de Menorca nearby has a large Suermarket..(as we are silver surfers the items are not that we look out for)....Have a lovely time there, it was fantastic!

Hi could anyone recommend a hotel for teenagers please, Thanks
Written 16 July 2023
Hi, I found Cala nBosch very quiet - we went st beginning of June so possibly not yet high season. The hotel across from us Thw Valentin Star had people coming round the poolside asking if we wanted to play aquavolleyball so possibly there would other activities as well. They also had nightly entertainment but to be honest, the entertainment in all of the hotels was strictly for the over 50's and not that great. Hire a car cos if the weather isn't good there is nothing else to do in tge resort (except drink& we're teetotal). Cuitadella is great for nightine shopping & jewellery & clothes markets. But honestly, I'd go to Palma instead. Very similar, better beaches and more ti do. Hope this helps! X

We stayed in this area in 2019. Family of 3. Two adults and a child. Has anyone got any ideas near to the marina/bars / restaurants within walking distance they can recommend. We’ve stayed at the TUI BLUE GRUPOTEL Mar and really enjoyed it . But wanted some ideas on other decent all inclusive not just this one. If not what other reports should I check out in Menorca for the same offerings.
