I've been there in 2014, spend 7 days in Laganas. People are friendly and beach nice and clear. Full with good beach bars, and just a short walk from kalamaki beach, where you can find the little caretta-carettas if you are lucky like me :)

We visited this beach in oct 2015, almost all the shops and restaurants are closed at this time. The look of the area says a lot , it is good for teenagers and partying and clubbing around.

Beautiful beach. Some of the sun loungers a bit dirty. The only thing that really annoyed me,was a woman going round offering back rubs or whatever for whatever amount of euros. Not hygienic atol.

Yes the 1 mile or so between Laganos and Kalamaki is dunes and contains turtle nests. In the other direction, At Agias Sostis there are relaxing cocktail bars restaurants and private villas.
