Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This was a great spot to stop for lunch, with lots of picnic tables spread through the area. Despite there being 4 full tables, we were able to get a lovely leafy private area all to ourselves.
The walk to the falls is very short, with a lovely lookout over the falls. Ensure you keep going another 200m or so as there is a second lookout which is worth a look.
Very clean with great facilities.

At the end of Springbrook Road, shortly after the Tallanbana Picnic grounds, you will find the Goomoolahra Falls and picnic area.
The falls are only 100 metres from the carpark.
There is a nice little creek which runs along and cascades over the waterfall to canyon below, with a drop of about 80 metres.
Great views all the way out the Gold Coast and beaches and a nice shaded picnic area with plenty of tables.

Better for the views towards the Gold Coast and over the forest than the waterfall which is only a trickle except after rain. Picnic and toliet facilities available and there are wood BBQs, better to bring your own wood. Walking tracks through the forest after rain can sometimes throw up unexpected things such as leeches and occasionally the rare and protected Lamington crayfish which is bluish in colour.

Drive through mountains road before arriving at the entrance of Goomoolahra Falls.
Walked about 100 metres through the rainforest, at the end of the road will be the falls. The terrain is little uneven, walk slowly. Can be muddy and slippery on wet days. The water rolling down few terraces before dropping. There were high condensation and created lots of mist. Can hear the sounding of the water dropping.
A pair of comfortable walking shoes recommended.
Enjoyed.

Goomoolahra Falls is moreso a picnic area but is still worthwhile visiting if you're just sightseeing. Picnic facilities, parking and rest rooms are onsite. You could budget 20-25 minutes to appreciate the sight and take a few photos. There is a good outlook overlooking a waterfall and a the national park. Definitely a worthwhile visit!

Goomoolahra is at the end of the road in Springbrook. It's a picnic spot beside a mountain creek that ends in a waterfall. The lookout has views of the buildings of the Surfers Paradise and the sea . Great for kids.

Goomoolahra Falls, also known as Bilbrough Falls is right at the end of Springbrook Rd and is within the Springbrook National Park. The stream cascades over the edge of the escarpment in a drop of around 60 metres. It is only a short walk from the carpark (where there are toilets and picnic tables) to the falls lookout which also provides beautiful views over the Gold Coast. At the time we were there it had been dry for a prolonged period and the flow was very weak, but I've been here previously when the falls were most impressive. A very pretty spot.

The view through the valley is great but the falls are not clearly visible due to side angle. Short walk from the car park. Take caution with young children around slippery rocks especially after rains. Don't spend more than 15 minutes here. Better waterfalls nearby!

A small car park at the end of the road, offers a toilet, some picnic tables & outdoor wood bbq's, a roofed shelter & a very brief walk to the lookout at the head of the falls.
The weather wasn't great (I think very common for the Falls/lookout) so the view of the scenery was limited but the view of the falls was nice although not spectcular.
The falls were better from below when walking the Warrie Circuit.

Short 100 metre walk to falls, great spots along the creek to stop and get feet wet. Picnic tables and toilets all well looked after and clean. Have been to Springbrook many times, this is the first visit to falls well worth driving to end of the road for, not incredibly well signed but just follow Springbrook Road to the end, can't miss it!

I know Purling Brook Falls. How do I get to Goomoolahra Picnic Area and lookout from there? (By car, preferably)?

You just keep driving south from Purling Brook Falls. There’s lots of signs. Definitely worth a visit.
