My fiancé and I visited Chateau Mouton Rothschild by serendipity! We have been travelling southwestern France for approx 2.5 wks starting off in Provence, so I was not sure we would get an appointment when I only called 3 days prior to our visit. But we were lucky and fortunate enough and boy were we in for a surprise. The... More

Although this was an interesting tour it lacked a bit of the personality that we experienced elsewhere. That said, our guide was very knowledgeable and was able to answer the various questions raised by our group. Although we know quite a lot about the wine making process there's always something new to learn, and this was a good introduction to... More

As part of our summer holiday near Bordeaux, we visited a few chateaux for wine tasting. We visited a family run estate in Entre Deux Mers first followed by a Grand Cru Classé chateau in Saint-Émilion and then we visited the Chateau Mouton Rothschild. This chateau is rather different from the other chateaux, it is a vast estate and has... More

This is our second visit to Ch. Mouton since 2007 and they have done a good job in renovating the venue for the past few years. The entry fee is about Euro 45 per person, not cheap but you get to taste 3 wines from the property at the end. The tour was good and the art museum was a... More

Visited the winery, museum and tasted 3 wines. The visit was actually better than our expectations. The guide that day was very nice. Loved the history, loved the art collections, also loved the various wine labels. Of the 3 wines, actually only 1 is from Mouton Rothschild, obviously they offer the relatively not so good year (thus cheaper) but it... More

We opted for a tour which included the winery, the museum, the art gallery of wine label illustrations from (mostly) famous artists, the cellars, and ended with a tasting of one of the Mouton Rothschild wines. It's fairly expensive as vineyard tours go - EUR 45 - but was well worth the money. The guide was very knowledgeable about the... More

50 euro pp for 3 wines. The tour guide describes the process as "behind the scene." The visitor never sees the chateau, but only the warehouse, vats, and barrels. There are a few art pieces thrown in, but, for the money, this was a great disappointment.

Visited Mouton Rothschild in May 2016 as part of a wine tasting tour of the Bordeaux region. Understandably being one of the biggest name in the Bordeaux wine industry and with everyone wanting to visit the hallowed grounds of the vineyards the group tour sizes are quite big. Now that's something which is quite different from the other big wineries... More

Visited for a tasting, tour and museum visit. The host gave a wonderful review of the history of the classification of the wine. She also provided a vast amount of background for the wine itself. The museum is one of a kind and is worth the visit. We were fortunate to see the workers working the barrels and our host... More
