Great explanation (in French, not sure about English abilities) on the production of chilli from A to Z. You get to have a taste of various products and for sure end up in the store.

Peppermasters abound here and staff are eager to escort visitors to adjacent pepper plant fields, drying and processing areas and answer questions. Large selection of items suitable for gift giving to those needing more spice in life.

-Go early to avoid the large groups, opens at 08.30. -saw the fields, the drying trays, the two ovens, the pulveriser to make the chilli powder, saw the 5 mins film. everything is done manually except for the replanting of the chilli bushes

This is one of those must visit places when you go to espelette. You can visit the plantation and have a small guided discovery of products. The boutique is nice and staff excellent.

Espelette is unique in having more red peppers on display outside houses as decoration than anywhere. Very colourful and worth a visit

We spent a good hour at this producer and shop of the "famous" Piment d'Espelette. It was entertaining, informative and a nice degustation. All is well presented and the people very friendly (hopefully, it is after all their business). We enjoyed it and can recommend...More
