Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Really liked this. Never seen so many sand bars. We walked from one side to as far as we could get. The tide got lower as the evening went out. Absolutely beautiful.

The lagoon is created by a sand bar at the edge of the deeper water. The sand bar is split in the centre, allowing water in to create the lagoon. When the tide is out, there is more sand visible. When the tide is in, the lagoon fills up and only the sand bar remains visible. Even at high tide, it appears to be little more than knee deep.

It is an ideal place for wind surfers, who use the right hand side, as you look out to sea and kite surfers, who use a good two thirds of the lagoon to the left. The more serious and presumably more proficient surfers, are to be seen on the deeper open water, beyond the lagoon. There is ample parking behind the beach and a surf centre, next to the lagoon. Even if you are not into watersports, it is still fascinating to watch.

This place is one of my favourite whenever I visit Fuerteventura. The water in the lagoon is warm (but in the lagoon only, ocean is a little cold) and the beach is beautiful.
The lagoon is split into two parts - for kiting and windsurfing. Great place to take a lot of pictures.
Don't miss this beach during your stay on Fuerteventura. And if you go there, be sure to bring peanuts or something like this with you, as there are chipmunks everywhere :) They are friendly and they take peanuts from you.

We went here having seen lovely photos but without checking the tide times. obviously you have to go when the tide is high and there is water in the lagoon. when we got there the tide was low which exposes a huge, spectaculat beach, busy with kite surfers but too windy to lie on and relax.

Just stunning, make sure you check out tidal times so you don't miss it, depending on which hotel you are staying in, be prepared for a walk. We luckily had a arranged for a packed lunch so made a day of it.

Naturally formed when tide goes out, forms shallow pools that go on for miles., and right on the doorstep of Melia Gorriones., wonderful to wade through, and for children to play in (still observed of course)

As the title says, this very long and very broad beach is great for surf sports, especially with the wind. But it is far too shallow for any swimming or even a paddle in the sea.

This beach is certainly one of the main reasons why we have chosen to go back to Feurteventura this year. Someone wrote in their review that the beach and scenery changes with the tide, I can echo that comment with five stars as it amazed me of how stunning it was. We stayed in Costa Calma back in May 2016, we took advantage of the beach and went for many long strolls, both in the morning and evening, I just wish we had visited the bars along the way. I highly recommend visiting in the evening to watch the sun set...beautiful!!

Please take mosquito spray or take anti histamine with you though as I was bit quite alot which caused my legs to swell, but that is only because I have a very sensitive immune system. The sand flies are a nuisance but can not be helped at dusk.

if you can handle the wind and just check out the tide times. We (50kg and 86kg) used a range of kites from 3m to 12m over two weeks.

Another beautiful beach. I wasn't expecting the beaches to be so lovely. Fuerteventura is breathtaking.
