Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Small quiet, peaceful and clean town.It was a French colony and still has some French flavor left, particularly in the area called white town. This is also where great revolutionary turned saint Sri Aurobindo settled for rest òf his life. Try stay at white town area and enjoy walk to nearby seabeach and Sri Aurobindo Ashram. Morning or evening walk at the beach is enjoyable. A day trip to Auroville would be nice. View of Mother's temple after a long walk is satisfying.

This lighthouse has an entry fee of Rs. 20 or 30 per adult... as you get to the top climbling step... the view is worth the efforts... the whole pondicherry is under you...
The colorful buildings, beaches, houses everything is visible... and the cool wind moving at the top is so amazing...

Excellent, panaromic view of the beach and Pondicherry from the top of the lighthouse. Climb up (there's no lift) can be tough, especially for those who are unfit. But the view at the top is worth it, especially when you consider the low admission fees.

Must visit to see 360 surrounding view of Pondicherry and Bay of Bengal, has many stairs to climb, No lift, so Not suitable for elderly or sedentary people, as it is difficult to climb all stairs.
After reaching the top you have beautiful view and can enjoy, can click pictures too.

Visible from a distance, Pondicherry Lighthouse is a nice spot for clicks and views. Located near the main tourist areas in the city.
