- Andrew YSplit, Croatia6 contributionsdefinitely worth a visitBeautiful beach and very pleasant afternoon with our family. It's about a 30 minute walk along the coast and well worth it. There were taxis waiting to take us back to Hvar center after a peaceful day in the water and sun.Visited June 2024Travelled with familyWritten 11 June 2024
- gregeogTynemouth, United Kingdom189 contributionsClear water at quiet beach - take cash for loungersGreat, clear beach about 25 minute walk from the town centre. Best to get there earlier as it starts to get busier the more the day goes on, but would still recommend nonetheless. Star knocked off due to the extremely rude staff/ people sorting the loungers and umbrellas, shame.Visited August 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 3 August 2024
- barryblue1Larkspur, California7 contributionsDon’t miss this for walk, swim and lunch. Beautiful water…..Nice walk to bay and swimming exceptional. 25 minutes from port if you are coming from a cruise (which we were). They wanted 50 Euros for 2 longes and umbrella. We chose to have lunch and I swam in the beautiful bay. Most people sit on beach or concrete platforms, sun bath and swim. My wife said she had a good lunch and the spot was beautiful. We will walk back sometime…you can also take a taxiVisited September 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 18 September 2024

Nice small pebble beach a 30 minute walk from Old Town. You have to pay for sun loungers, meaning most people were trying to get comfy instead on the pebbles. Smaller than pictures show but nice clear warm water. Would recommend as a quieter choice of beach!

We walked to this beach over the hill from Hvar which was shorter and more hardwork than the costal road, but offered nice views of the bay on the way. The beach and sea was clean, with clear blue water so I highly recommend this beach. Just keep a lookout for sea urchins!!

... reviewer Bird_Without_a_Nest... great review .
The Lighthouse mentioned is on an islet not far away ( seems almost swimming distance ) it is OTOCIC POKONJI DOL & we captured this very photogenic shot as we left Hvar in MV Santa Maria small boat Cruises.
What can you say about Pokonji Dol Beach that 'Bird_ _ _Nest' hasn't already said!
I have just added to the picture ... literally.

Lovely beach but far too busy! Caught me u awares just how busy hvar would be in august. This bay was no exception - people everywhere. Trek down was pretty steep but fine, beach is white pebbles which get smaller as you reach the shoreline. Water turquoise & crystal clear. Beds & umbrellas to hire. Beds 100 kuna, umbrella 50 kuna. Two restaurants to choose from - mustaco service ok, food average.

What a beautiful beach, that was quite hidden away, a good size but probably best to get there early as it was busy when i went at about 3pm but still found a spot to go for a swim and sit in the sun.
It was also a bit of a bumpy walk down to the beach, i would say its like a mini hike. Be careful it can be a bit unsteady under foot.
The service at the restaurant wasn't to good but apart from that beautiful beach

One of the most beautiful beaches in Hvar!! Calm and super crystal clear water. Nice to visit, swim for a few hours and then explore the two beaches that continue along the path! (The others are even better but smaller)
Mekicevica 10’ walk
Robinson beach 20' walk
I recommend yes or yes visiting all 3!

The beach is beautiful, but the way to get there is difficult if you take the shortcut, it is going down through a path of rocks, kinda steep, it was a bit terrifying for me. Make sure to be with good shoes, not flip flops. And it was pretty full, compared to Mekicevica beach which is just 20 minutes away. However there were restaurants and shops in Pokonji Dol, which on the other hand are not available on Mekicevica.

Very nice beach!
20 euros for sunbeds, but went nice to lie on Berg too.
Worth the ground you had to go down from the construction site. The finest beach outside downtown which was not too far to go to.

Ciao , sai se i cani sono ammessi in questa spiaggia e nelle spiagge limitrofe? Io ho un barboncino toy che vorrei portare!
