131 reviews
Visit a string of Zakynthos’ beauty spots without a transport hassle in sight on this full-day tour. Traveling by air-conditioned vehicle and boats; cruise to Shipwreck Beach (Navagio), ride a glass-bottom boat to the Blue Caves, swim in Xigia’s sulphur-rich, spa-like waters, see Cameo Island, visit viewpoints, and more. A lunch stop (own expense) and hotel transfers from Zakynthos Town and select south- and east-coast resorts complete the day.

We were led to believe that there were beaches at Argassi by our tour operator TUI. How gutted we were when the transfer bus approached the area, we were disappointed to see all the shops lined up selling souevinrs from beach towels, inflatables, bracelets and rude objects. Rambling thtrough the tour shackles, we kept asking people where the beach was and it didn't exist - you'd have to travel miles to reach the next beach! It was more of a marine dock and the coast was all filthy, inaccessible and the dirty sea was polluted. You'd better off going to Keri Caves and get a boat to reach the stony, pebbled coasts as there's literally NO sandy beaches in the island of Zante.

We stayed at the Zakantha Beach Hotel which has steps down to part of the beach. There is a narrow strip of sand with some loungers on in front of the hotel and adjoining properties. Nothing to get excited about visually. If you make the effort to go in the water then you find it nice and sandy with a very gentle slope out. I would not make a special journey to visit it but it's ok if you want a change from the pool.

This beach is very narrow and the sand isn't great either. There are better beaches to be found along the coast a short bus ride or taxi ride away.... If helpful please tick the box below

Most of the beach along the front is pebbled near the shore but sandy further out. We found that the beach over near the Zakanthan Hotel and just past it, going towards Zante town, is best where there were very few rock and child friendly
