Although it was raining when we went to visit we really enjoyed our trip to the Hastings Caves. Simon, our guide was knowledgeable and you could tell he loved his job and had a passion for his work. I’d highly recommend giving this place a...More
We (2 adults, 2 kids 4&8) had a lovely time here. The caves were beautiful - in my opinion, better than other caves we had seen in the North of Tasmania. The addition of the thermal springs and short walks in the vicinity makes this...More
Having only half a day spare from Hobart, we decided to make the 2 hour trip to Hastings Cave for a 50 min tour. Was really happy we decided to do this. Well worth checking out the local history. Our guide, Donna was very informative....More

It is unfortunate that you feel that you had a negative experience at Hastings Caves and Thermal Springs. Some of the information you have provided above is incorrect. To clarify for other readers, tour tickets are sold in the Visitor Centre and cut off 15...More
We drove here for a quick day trip. And glad we did even though it was middle of winter, but what the hell.
The cave itself was amazing even though you only tour alittle of it. The guide had so much info was excellent.
Beautiful caves, tour guide was amazing, even cracked a few jokes with everyone. Didn’t go into the thermal pools but they felt nice and warm. The 30 minute walk was beautiful. Big fire place was amazing to stand by in this cold weather. Definitely worth...More

We stumbled on Hastings thermal pool as we explored the south. The track was slippery & muddy and we had no idea what to expect. A short walk through moss covered trees opened up to a swimming pool, change rooms & bbq shelters complete with...More

Hi, the track leading to the cave has a gradual uphill incline, there are approx. 20 stairs on this track. In the cave there are 250 stairs each way, the stairshave handrails either side and are not continuos, however those with mobility problems may find them difficult as some are quite steep.
It's very easy mate and if you are not that confident I would be happy to follow you in and make sure you are comfortable to get out but it's a very easy drive, with no problems at all.
All the best
