Went into Valez to see the locality and meander around the town. Ventured up to take a look. Not much to say really.

Our time in Malaga was very limited but I’m so glad we carved out time for the Alcazaba! The tour provides a glimpse into the compelling history of this region, and affords stuffing views of the city and the water!

It was 2,2€ to enter but it worth every cents. Amazing flora and fauna, beautifull view. If you are there prepare with water, but you can also find drinking fountain if you need.

Whilst there were nice views from both the Alcazaba and fortress there wasn't really much else apart from a little display with minor information. There weren't many information signs about the history. The alcazaba looked particularly run down. Despite this the entry ticket was very...More

Alcazaba La Fortaleza de Velez Malaga is now just a small reconstructed tower on the location of the old Moorish fort. Worth the climb for the glorious views of the town, sea and mountains.

Most of the castle consists of park/grounds/gardens and assorted ruins. I doubt if dogs are allowed in the tower but should be ok elsewhere. Did not see any signs saying no.
