Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Port de Sete is located in the center of the homonymous town, located in the South of France. It is a big and very nice port, where there are the most important sightseeing points in the city like churches, Town Hall, some restaurants and bars, and the International Museum des Arts Modestes, which is very curious. Also, it is very nice to walk around this place and see boats, buildings and people. The promenade is a very good place to come with the couple, friends or children.

For most of tourist travelers Port of Sete is a fascinating looking nice scenic place, which is absolutely true! For me it was also as interesting logistics process place, too! As possible to look at it's (professional) commercial facilities during a 45 min water boat trip. Making a notice how much (older) used trucks, lorries & vans were gathered there, to wait for transport overseas (I guess into African countries)?

Small laid-back port. Plenty to do around town and beyond. Easily walkable to town centre. Attractive town.

This was one of our cruise stops and we were here on Bastille Day. Opting not to venture out on a 2-hour bus tour to the countryside on a French holiday, opted to walk into town. This was a very easy walk. The cities canals were nice and lined with many restaurants and shops. Nice afternoon, spent wondering the streets. Also was able to view the jousting on the canal which apparently happens on weekends.

No problems at all on disembarking nor on our return to the ship. It's not meant to be a beauty spot in this busy industrial port. A short pleasant walk into the town. We were delighted to have spent a day exploring the town so easily on foot.

Too many boat parked; canals water is dirty; boats leaking fuel and oil make often air unbreathable; endless roads works / dust in many place / undisturbed rodents is another health issue.

The waterfront is one of the loveliest parts of this small town and the port is a feature. This is where cruise ships dock, and more. You will find a lot of seafood here, lots of dining outdoors.

A large port for pleasure boats, fishing vessels and tourist boats and cruise ships.
We walked along the area where it is obviously used for fishermen to land their catches. To see it all would require a lot of walking along the connecting canals and bridges to get to see to all areas.
You can park a car on the jetty off the roundabout on the south west side of the port.

Very interesting pace to just walk around. It is a pretty place and there are plenty of photo opportunities. Good way to fill in a hour or so.

Lots of different perspectives of the port depending on where you are. It's a huge industrial port, plus a fishing port, plus a pleasure port, and now a cruise ship port. Pretty, busy, full of activity.

Hi what is the best way to go from cruise port to Sete Train Station? I need to catch a 9.16 train to Carcasonne. My ship arrives at 8am
