Highlight of Norway
Jan 2020 • Family
We were lucky enough to borrow a friends house nearby ( it’s on Air B&B, Vetleskog). I touched base with Sogn Skisentre before our arrival, they normally don’t have a lot of beginners, but they went out of their way to organise instructors for my children (9&11, first time on snow) and us, the oldies as it been a while since I’ve been on the snow. We borrowed all ski equipment from Sogn which was in high standard.

We skied for 2 night sessions and 3 days.
They are open Tuesday and Thursday nights 4-8 and Friday to Sunday 10-4.
Kids slope is free of charge. Family pass for 3 days is about 2000NOK.
Most Norwegian skiing there are of an Olympic standard, and kids skiing there are dropped off as we would drop off our kids on a Saturday morning to tennis, such a great small ski field feeling.

Cafe offers home cooked food (reindeer stew for 99NOK, waffles, hot chocolate etc) and very good prices.

Spectacular views of Sognefjord from the top.

We were there in January when parts of Norway were experiencing +19C, Sogn was mostly stable at -4c to +1c (lots of snow, little bit of rain).

I felt the staff went out of their way for us and I throughly enjoyed my time there and highly recommended them.

Good slopes!
Mar 2016 • Friends
Worth a visit. Good slopes for different levels of experience. You can rent equipment. Also slopes for cross country skiing. Acceptable prices. Always friendly and helpful staff. Only 20 min drive from city centre of Sogndal. Worth a visit!
