Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The park is well assembled and we went on a buggy with a Guide who took us to the headquarters with a small exhibition of wild animals from the region... we went to the dam and we could sail in a canoe and just....
There was an improvised bar to serve drinks on the edge of the dam, with water pretty dirty though apparently clean.
The staff who served us were helpful... but not worth what it costs. There are much better natural beauties to enjoy in the region.

Atlantic forest natural reserve on the Praia do Forte side with the Pojuca River running through the middle of the reserve. We visited with Buggy leaving from Praia do Forte. It has a small beach where there is ziplining and access to diving in the river.

This was a beautiful reserve. We went with a guide in the low season and he was extremely knowledgeable (a geologist working with the reforestation project). We went walking and kayaking with him and learned a lot about the plants in the area.

We tried getting here by ourselves. at our pousada they told us we could just get a bus there, very easy. we waited and waited and ended up taking on of those shared taxis were many people can go in and pay less than for a private taxi. when getting out, about 5 boys came up to us asking us who we were and followed us to the entrance of the reserve, which made us feel unsafe. there wasnt really an entrance, just a wooden sign (looked selfmade) saying reserve. no signs with prices or nothing. suddenly more and more boys came up running, and then a guy at the entrance started walking towards us. he told us about the prices and said we needed a guide, him. it was so weird that we decided to leave, not sure whether these boys were going to rob us or do whatever they planned. there was no bus going back to praia do forte either, so we ended up hitchhiking back. NEVER AGAIN!! dont go there!!

There is nothing good to say about this place, natural park with motorbikes and music??! If you wanna go to drink beer and eat near the rainforest, that might be you place, if you would like to see nature go to another place. I went with my girlfriend, got charge 10rs each, 40rs for a guide (a kid that never said a word about anything, and we speak portuguese, walked us to a place near a river that had food and beer, got charge again 40rs for a canopy that was damaged and it was only one way. Then we left spending100rs for nothing. I have been to lots of natural parks, and this has nothing to do with that.

I think this made the trip even better. We took the buggy ride into the forest. My kids are brave as they got excited to hold a python...for me I run far from that.

The drive through the forest was really nice and my kids loved standing at the back of the ride screaming.

The tour guide who is also the driver was very nice and fun also.

The zipline is fun and great for kids at all ages. And the cannon ride was also worth the ride.

Really had a great time. It's a total of 2 hours and for my family of 5 it cost us $70. We found the tour company around the walking shopping area. You will not miss them since it's the only one around there. And they speak english too.

Rebuilding a rainforest after the whole area has been farmland is not an easy task.
But with the help of a village dedicated to this task and a lot of work it can be done as this area shows.
They added some action with Ziplining and Kajaking as well so there is some stuff too to get your mind of all the plants.

The reserva de Sapiranga is a very good reserve very closed to Praia do Forte and it is well worthy if you like nature. We rent a very knowledgable guide and we saw a lot of wildlife including n sloth. Good trekking and you can include a zip line and a kayak adventure in the process

Located at the opposite side of the coast, this place is a piece of nature, with no eletricity and a relaxing atmosphere. You can spend the day enjoying the lake.

An important start in educating people about the importance of preserving the forests and their wildlife but also giving tourists a fun experience with the quad bike trails.
