Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is one of our must-sees every time we visit Ireland. The views are spectacular, the ride up is “fun” and no matter the weather we always feel rested and connected to nature when we visit there.

We didn't stay at Glenmalure Lodge, but we did have dinner there. The staff was very friendly. My Mom had a salmon special that she really enjoyed. The old meat eater in me thought it looked pretty freakin' fantastic! If you are vegetarian you may want to look for another dining option. There was only one option on the menu and it wasn't awesome. I'm used to that though so I never go anyplace expecting there to be something fabulous for me to eat. Everything else about his place was great. I loved the way the inside of the restaurant looked. There were several picnic tables out front for folks to sit outside and be social while enjoying their food and pints. There is a parking lot across the street with plenty of spots. Soooo - If you are an herbivore, throw a snack in your bag and go here for some cold pints!

I will definitely check this place out for an overnight stay if I end up back in County Wicklow again.

Oh - I recommend making a reservation if it's a weekend night. We were there on a Saturday around 4:30pm. Most of the tables were reserved for 6pm. Fortunately they let us have a table and just let us know that someone else was going to be coming for it.

Take some time to go to the bridge and check out the water wheel. It's pretty cool.

Stayed here overnight with a group of friends following a hill walk. Rooms are basic but spotless with en-suite. Staff here are always friendly and helpful at all times.
The dinner food presented to us was tremendous, plentiful and piping hot and complimented by everyone in our group.
Great place for music and a sing song later in the bar.

The staff here were excellent: friendly and real workers.
The rooms were large, comfortable and clean. Very quiet spot with a view of the mountains. Great place for hikers or even a short walk in the woods, probably in the rain. The restaurant on site was quaint and the food came to the table hot, fast and very good.

Stayed mid-way along the Wicklow way. We had stayed here before, so knew what to expect. The Glenmalure Lodge is a super place to stay, great food in the bar, comfortable rooms, lovely open foreplace in the bar area, very homely atmosphere, will definitely stay again!
