Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The hotel has free hourly shuttle bus to n fro Awana bus terminal. Guided hiking trail for 20 rm only.
Buffet breakfast is good but for something light can try the eatery below reception.
Need to take skyway to SkyAvenue for shopping, self ticketing, 20 rm if having big luggage.

Woah! The bad review isn't overrated. You can't find more rude staff other than here.
Just finish at the driving range and felt like booking to stay here for my next trip. So I walk in and talk to the reception.
Me: hi, can I have the brochure for stay and play?
Staff: online
Me: do you know what's the rate?
Staff: online.
Me: I just want to....
Staff: online, thanks.
Woah! Like awana is the only hotel in Selangor. And parking is not free for hotel guest. Nice

Was able to get a unit via airbnb and I’ve left a review there as well. Totally enjoyed my 15 days. The room was clean, the lobby was huge and despite some renovations ongoing, no complaints. Only con was the limited food choices though the few were excellent! Totally compensated by the free shuttle to and from GPO

Was invited by a friend to play a round of golf.
Arrived a few moments ahead of my friend and was just standing with my clubs minding my own business.
Was approached by one of the golf coarse staff and was told immediately that my attire was unacceptable. No cordial greeting..no asking me why I was here..no looking me in the eye. I asked "what is the proper attire?". The response was "tee shirt with collar and no blue jeans". I was wearing black pants and a normal light shirt with a collar. A few moments following this another staff member strolled up. As with the first one, he blurted out the same comment "tee shirt with collar..no blue jeans"...delivered with a furrowed brow. Again..my shirt had a collar and my pants were black (not blue). I then asked..."where are the rules of attire posted?" Neither of the individuals seemed interested in discussing the issue with me any longer and responded with "tee shirt with callor..no blue jeans". I responded with "okay". As I was about to leave..my friend arrived and was made aware of the issue..but not by the staff. The staff individuals clearly just wanted me gone. My friend asked what could we do to resolve the issue. The staff responded to him by indicating that I should go to the golf store and buy a tee shirt with collar and golf pants. He responded with that the store was not open. I decided to take the high road and just leave. My friend as I walked away offered me one of his shirts back in his room and a pair of shorts. Very nice...but I was already very disappointed and not in the spirit of playing golf in my friend's clothes. I felt like I was treated like a homeless person. In closing, if you ever play golf at the Awana golf coarse the rules of attire are an absolute mystery.

The golf course would not allow us to rent clubs and they questioned our attire even though we were wearing collared shirts as we were told was required on booking. Nothing could be done to make them happy and let us golf. I do not recommend and will not return.

We stayed there for 2 nights. Big, clean, modern room with good view. Breakfast spread was huge, you can get every option you can think of. Service was good. Live shows at bar were good. Swimming pool and Jacuzzi were above average. There was a small supermarket store just in front of the hotel .The pickup was arranged by the hotel from bus terminal point which was smooth. Overall,
one of the best stay in Malaysia.

Manage to check in early. Unfortunately that is the only good thing I can say for this trip. The check in guy was hardly helpful, I had to ask for my buffet voucher and fnb discount card. He should have known about my reservation package when checking me in and offer it. But I had to asked for it. Secondly, there was some Mice activity going on at night which is still ongoing as I'm writing this review. At 15th floor, I can hear the karaoke loud and clear which is annoying. The management should set a cut off time for these activities. It's causing disturbance to other hotel guests especially those with small kids. Can you imagine putting a 2 year old to sleep with the noise? Last but not least, I asked for extra towels and pillows but they only allow max 3 towels and 5 pillows per room. Its a kind gesture to offer these especially when guests asked for it, rather than saying no.

By fate, we found that the Golf course offer some hiking programs organise by Eddie and Pat (husband and wife team) . Even though I am not a golfer I thought what a great program they offer. My husband did one walk with them and have throughly enjoyed himself. Pat and Eddie are such professional and so passionate about nature . Tan Sri the Chairman is also such an amazing gentleman who cares for nature as well as his love for mankind. He had given his personal blessing for them to organise a wheel chair friendly trail starting from the Golf Course. If only more owners of golf course is like that
You may call the golf course for further information on the walking / hiking trail or reach them on their mobile numbers at 0123083748

I was surprised by the poor conditions of the course
1. You can lost your balls which landed at the fairway
2. Soft ground and at many places, your swings will be rewarded with mud all over your body and face
3. Poor green
4. Uneven tee box area
5. Several holes at 1st 9 is not playable as they are putting up perimeter fencing
6. Too many pickpocket or golf marshals (monkeys) following you during the game. They know how to in-zipped your golf bag!
With so many good golf courses in the Klang Valley, I don’t see any reason to return
