Parco Torre di Lavello
Nov 2019
When I saw the ancient walls and the city gate I knew there would be another exciting place to visit, but the rain cut our visit short, we only went to Duomo di San Giacomo Maggiore to see the fountain, and went the Tower of Lavello and park to snapped a few photos of the ruins. Just a small glimpses of this ancient city past glories.
Happy Travelling!

A Pleasant Park In A Pleasant Village
Sep 2018 • Business
To get the full feel for the old part of town, my recommendation is to start at the car park, enter Via Roma at the nearby Porta di Poggio and walk the length of Via Roma to the park. Its not a long walk and well worth seeing the architecture, piazza, shops, and cafes. The park itself is most noteworthy for its view across the valley to an array of medieval buildings especially Chiesa di San Pietro. The entire walk offers plenty of photo opportunities.

First of all you must go and visit Tuscania !! Use any search engine and look the pictures of this beautiful city!! About less than an hour and a half trip by car from Rome. Once you are there, especially inside the historic center, beautiful views all over!! The Tower of Lavello has magnifecent views that you must see!! So peacefull!! Enjoy!!

Don't miss this town
Jun 2018 • Couples
I will cover everything we saw in this town in this one review. First of all, the town and this Parco have a great position/view of the surrounding area. The town has everything we would expect of an Italian town: it has walls, history, great colors on buildings, this one is rather clean, ruins, frescos, many churches to visit, etc.

I would see the town first, then if you intend to see the Churches that lie just outside of the town I would move my car to them Maggiore is the low one and was completely closed when we were there on a Sat morning. San Peitro is up the hill above this church. It is free but if you park n front of it you have to pay. I would park for free half way up the hill, see both churches and do it all for free. San Pietro does close during lunch.

The view makes me want to move to Tuscania. The land is so fertile here. I always feel you could throw any seed in any direction from the garden...and it would thrive.

The garden itself is beautifully looked after, my daughter (2 years old) loves to run around here, play down in the ancient amphitheatre.. (she loves to hear the echoes of her footsteps and voice), and meet other children...there are usually other families and children in the garden, both locals and tourists alike.

After the garden, go to Alfreda's to eat...you won't regret it.

Historic view and park

Nice place to have a picnic in this park which is on the town ramparts. The panoramic view is historic and there are toilet facilities on site.

A very pleasant place to sit and look out on the exquisite countryside surrounding Tuscania. There are a few tress to take shade as well.
