Beautiful place, I was there mothers day, but totally spoilt by a council that is out to fleece anyone visiting with parking tickets! Car parking is totally inadequate the council know this and use it as a method to generate money from those visiting.

Very friendly place, lots of Walkers, scouts, guides and dog lovers!! Perfect for a stroll especially on a sunny afternoon. Shame about the usual people who leave mess behind otherwise these place would be immaculate. Lots to see fishers everywhere, numerous walking routes from easy to the more difficult up hill climbs. Lots of mountain bike routes too

My husband and I live in Northumberland and after recently being married (last weekend) we decided to have a few days away. We accidentally stumbled across Cod Beck reservoir and we weren't disappointed. Gorgeous scenery and a truly hidden gem! We will most certainly be back!

There is now a much better path nearly all the way round from the Sheepwash car park. (A bridge is being planned to make it a circular walk). The area gets very busy in season and on Bank Holidays.

Cod Beck is a lovely place to visit and views around are beautiful. Place has been spoilt by an over zealous council out to fleece the public My wife and i were there at weekend for a leisurely walk but could not park the car in so called designated car parks, two in total, one holding approx. 6 cars and... We parked up in our camper the night before, just to get our heads down. When we woke we saw how nice it was and decided to have a walk. Lovely path intersecting the mixed conifer and deciduous woodland that surrounds this reservoir. Nice moorland walks too.

Beautiful scenery, can't really beat it! Looks wonderful in the snow. Always have a lovely walk when visiting. All I would say is to try deter from parking on the grass verges when the car park is full, because tickets have been dished out! Take it from someone who has received a ticket. I would also recommend going at sunset,... More

Had a lovely walk round cod beck today. Please be aware that traffic wardens were giving out parking tickets to people who had parked on the grass verges.

Walked here from over the hill in Osmotherly, not really much to say about it. Nice views and trees.

The walk is about a mile long. It is well worth going there for a walk. Should you want the walk to be longer, you could continue on to the sheep wash which leads to further walking. Would recommend. I would recommend a walk in this area and then going to Osmotherly where there are pubs for a meal or... More
