The reservoirs are popular with walkers and runners. The full circuit is about three miles. I head to the reservoirs many times each month, especially when I want a short walk with the dog.

Over the festive season I took a delightful walk around Milngavie reservoirs with my sister. It wasn’t too cold, bit of drizzly rain but wonderful all the same. I absolutely adore walking around here.

Really good for safe, pleasant walk/run/cycle whatever. There are options for longer/shorter walks. Only slight downside is the ridiculous and rather unsightly high fence which was supposed to keep terrorists out, haha. But won't take points off for that. There are more interesting walks at...More

I used to regularly walk around the reservoirs before jogging and exercising took off big time. Give yourself a bit of time if you are walking as you will often spot a few wild animals around, when you enter through the main gate and pass...More

We have been coming here for many years to walk, about 3 miles around both reservoirs. Nice flat paths and splendid views over Glasgow. Great sunsets the last couple of weeks. Recommend.

The scenery is lovely and happily, in general, there is very little litter. Pity that the puddles are not filled-in - running or walking in some places is hindered by the vast quantities of water accumulating on the paths.

These Victorian reservoirs on the outskirts of Glasgow has been responsible for providing large parts of Glasgow with Fresh Drinking water for over 100 years. They are an excellent place to go and relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings and outstanding views of Glasgow.
