Markanda is a popular temple of Lord Shiva. It is very old and has a very beautiful views. If you happen to be in Gadchiroli or nearby areas, do visit the temple.

Markanda is one of many hidden jewels in Central Inida but due to govt. apathy there is lack of proper maintenance and facilities at these spots. Our govt. needs to do more to promote Markanda and other historical places of Central Inida and offer basic amenities to tourists.
