Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The castle dating back to the 13th century. Looks impressive from distance. Currently only remnants of the castle and its walls are left. As many sight in this area. The castle was heavily damaged by an earthquake that struck the area in 1456. Unfortunately on Monday, the castle is closed. I did not mind as you can see a little bit inside and it did not impress me so much. Still there is a path around to walk around the walls to see the castle and the surroundings.

On a historical and monumental level, the Fortress deserves 5 stars. The video with the reconstruction of how it was in the past is interesting. The outside is also very beautiful. Low ticket price (free entry for residents). Too bad there were no bathrooms (not even chemical ones)...

Decent signage. A good sense of the space can be had by walking the inner part and then around the walls. There are good views from the tower.

I had the privilege of visiting this site with a local who has a passion for history.
This castle is magnificent and enormous and as you walk around the different areas you can physically feel the energy of times long past.
There is an excellent video loop playing in the tower that shows a 3D reconstruction of a certain period.
This spot is so loaded with history stretching very far back.
I was very impressed and also amazed that there aren't long lines to see it, if you're into history you owe it to yourself to check it out!!!

As impressive it looks on the outside, as in ruins it is on the inside. I was somewhat disappointed when leaving this old fortezza.

Unfortunately it was not open inside but you could still walk round the outer walls of this huge castle. Impressive views of the surrounding countryside.

Family took us to see this ancient castle. There was a minimal fee to get in. There were quite a few signs explaining about the castle. The signs were in both Italian and English. I think this would be a good place to take children.

This is an enormous example of a fort built in early times. Well worth a look inside and also a walk around the outside.
