- 123rcSouthport, United Kingdom130 contributionsAmazing! What an amazing family adventure! There was so much to see and do. The staff were very friendly. I love that the adults can join in too. We had already read the bewilderwood books and my grandchildren were extremely excited to visit. They weren't disappointed and are already planning on returning. Everything was included in the price which is unusual these days. There were lots of picnic benches in various locations and plenty of toilets too. Despite some rain today it didn't dampen our spirits. A fantastic day out. Highly recommendedHellooo there! Thank you for leaving the Boggles & Twiggles a soopa 5* review! We're glad to hear the wet weather didn't dampen your spirits and you made the most of your WILD adventure. We hope to see you again for the Glorious Glowing Lantern Parade. - Jennifer C1 contributionWOW …..amazingHaving had many brilliant day trips to bewilderwood over the summer we decided to go to the glowing lantern parade. WOW….. so glad we did , it was above and beyond our expectations. The organisation was fantastic, from the mini characters shows to the lighting it was simply amazing. The children thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The ticket price was very reasonable too. Looking to book for Christmas as we were so impressed.Hi Jennifer! Added extras of face painting, lantern building and badges for the kids on exit were a nice touch. Lots of friendly staff around. My recommendation would be to take puddlesuits and wellies!Helloo there Claire! Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us this soopa 5* review! - Andy F28 contributionsAdventures galore! What an amazing place this is! It was a wet, gloomy day and puddles everywhere, but this made the day even better! Splashing and jumping turned into a game! There are so many places to go and the adventure play areas are extensive with many routes to get lost in, literally! What made the day were the staff! Very professional and engaging, it was clear they enjoy their job and have a passion working with children. I'm gutted we went on the last day of the season, we can't wait to come back in the spring!Hellooo there Andy! Thank you for leaving the Boggles & Twiggles a soopa 5* review! We're glad to hear the wet weather didn't dampen your spirits and you made the most of your WILD adventure. We'll be sure to pass your lovely comments on to all of the Twiggle Team here toooo! - AmieeLeigh17 contributionsNew comers opinionWe came twice first visit was the 29th October for the lantern parade my 5year daughter was so memorised by it all; she said it was amazing! It was something completely different to our usual Halloween activities, she loved the fact she got to make a lantern, and see the little show. The spider was very funny up in the tree stayed in character even if the family in front was making it so memorable with the comments it fired to the spider and the comments the spider fired back. Anyone would have thought it was all part of the act (which of course it was). We then returned for the day on the Monday well.. it’s huge! And we could see more as it was daylight 🤣 yet again my daughter loved the little treasure hunt, and all the activities, I do wish you had more crafts things todo other than the lantern as we did that night before but it didn’t ruin or stop us and I do believe we didn’t manage todo it all because they was so much to do and take part in, we simply just didn’t have time todo it all. How people can do it in 3hrs I don’t know i personally did and would of say it’s all day activity whether you staying at one area or moving around the areas it’s so enjoyable for both adults and children. And the added puddles were great, daughter simply said if you jump in muddy puddles you must wear your boots and she came home muddy which means she had a blast! It’s such a shame you’re 2hrs away from where we live, but I’m totally wondering whether todo the Christmas version. But PLEASE have one in the East Midlands somewhere it’s really good!! The price value I believe was very reasonable even though we had taken the 50% off deal for the return but I think the full price option for a full day is worth it for toddlers up! But I would wear clothes you ain’t bothered in getting dirty, wellies for those muddy puddles and an all in one waterproof for slides etc. especially if it’s bad weather but it’s Totally worth recommending.Hi there Aimee! Wowee, what an amazing review of the WILD woods! Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us these soopa kind words, we'll be sure to pass this feedback on to all of the Boggles & Twiggles! - georginamatilda1414 contributionsIf you like outdoor fun this is the place to goWe went on the BOGOF offer, 1 adult and 5 kids ranging from just turned 4 to 13. All the kids where entertained there was something for all of them, the climbing walk ways do need an adult to join in as some parts need your help with little ones but it was great fun, places like the slides are manned by staff so you can take a break and sit down while the kids have fun. Heads up if your going and we've not had days of nice weather, it's wet and muddy wear old clothes, shoes, wellies and take a change of clothes. I let mine get covered, splash in puddles and they had lots of fun doing it. We had packed lunches but did buy snacks and hot drinks there and weren't over priced. This was our first time going and I did think it was expensive for me to take the kids hence me going on the offer day but now we've been I would definitely go again paying full price, we where there all day and still missed a few thing out. The staff there are all lovely, and the first aid was amazing one of my sons banged his head quite badly and their where amazing with him. We will definitely be coming back!Hi Georgina! - EllandTee66Wolverhampton, United Kingdom33 contributionsFabulous day out and well worth the moneySo first up, I'm not one of those parents who pays to go to everything. I simply don't have the cash but this day out is really worth the money! Visited with my 2yo and 6 yo as a treat for the 6 year old while his older siblings were abroad. Thus wouldn't have been somewhere I would have picked for the full family based purely on the price but my visit has changed that idea. This is a Full day out and would suit the whole family. We left as the 2 yo was shattered but could easily have stayed longer. Arrived at 10am and left about 2pm but could easily have done another couple of hours. The site is really well laid out. There's not loads of walking between places so you're not losing all the day traipsing around. I thought it'd get a bit samey but it really didn't. There's a lot of thought gone into each tree top adventure. Multiple entry and exit routes depending on how adventurous your child is meant my 6 yo had a fab time and my 2yo could manage with my help and guidance. The things I was really impressed about was that where there are height restricted activities there's an activity right next door for little people so if you're on your own you can keep an eye on your big kid and entertain your small one (plus stop the tantrums). The covered seating area was great on a rather showery day as was the covered theatre seating. There's a lot of thought gone into this! I thought my kids wouldn't be interested in the show but after seeing the first one they really wanted to see the second one. They loved the puppets and the proper staging. The craft tent provided a nice break for the whole party. Would recommend doing when it is quieter. Not sure how much fun it would be for the little ones if they were being trampled underfoot on the equipment or queueing for it. Weather really doesn't spoil this and suspect the biting insects come out with avengence when the weather improves. Do take the insect repellant and put it on before you go. Welly boots for everyone and overalls for the kids are a must.Helloo there! Wowee, what an amazing review of the WILD woods! - LouiseMc211 contributionWholesome day out! What a lovely wholesome day out. I originally thought it was a bit pricey for a family of 4, but in all honestly, it was fantastic. Not overcrowded at all (which I loved, as I hate places being too packed with people). Food was good and the catering staff were pleasant. Lots of picnic areas. Toilets were very clean. Plenty of staff available to help and all very ☺️ smiley. I have have a 6 year old and a 9 year old, both loved it. A very impressive, large-scale park in beautiful woodland with a lovely story! 😍Hellooo Louise! Impressive treehouses and park that would be great on a warm, quiet day with younger kids. Ours aged 9,8 and 5 had fun but it really was just a half day of entertainment making the entry cost too steep. As a family of five we came in just shy of £100.
Pros
The staff - particularly impressed by the storyteller who continued to entertain a soggy crowd when an unexpected hailstorm hit and the guy scaling the slides and drying them by hand afterwards to make them safe to reopen.
The setting was pretty and there weren’t huge distances to walk between each attraction.
Plenty of car parking.
Treehouses and wooden constructions were well made, impressive and felt really safe.
Cons
Food wasn’t cheap and there weren’t enough tables. Take a picnic and a picnic blanket!
There is zero shelter. When a storm hit, everyone was drenched. Families were hiding under picnic tables!
The materials in the crafting tent were really scrappy (and this was the start of the day.)
Toilets were hit and miss cleanliness wise.
Stage show really only appealed to our youngest.
Busy and lacking open spaces to roam.

Having heard good things we were really looking forward to visiting but unfortunately it just didn’t live up to expectation. Despite booking online there was a fair wait to get in, just one person checking tickets which for a weekend day seemed ridiculous, there were 4 or 5 huts at the entrance and they definitely needed more staff on to get people through.
Once inside the idea is great, the areas look nice and the kids did enjoy running around and the play areas but it’s vastly overpriced for what it is - they’d have got the same experience at a park with a wooden play area for free!
Seating is limited (outside the picnic area, which was totally full) could do with some benches inside the little kids play areas as parents were just sat on the equipment which meant the kids couldn’t climb all the way over the stepping stones etc.
Service in the cafe bit was disorganised and incredibly slow, two girls just stood around with their arms folded while one person served the massive queue for drinks and ice cream?! Food options very limited, the offering could be improved massively.
Another ridiculous queue for the craft area which my little boy was desperate to do so we waited, it’s a nice idea but again, poorly executed, could have many more tables, turn them around quicker and have a time limit as some people just seemed to be using this as time to have a sit down and a snack!
Toilet facilities need improvement too, small blocks so hard to social distance and not very clean, could do with an in and out system to make distancing easier.
Avoided the shop on the way out as again there was another huge queue to get in!!
Overall the kids did enjoy what they did but it’s in no way a full day out, it’s relatively small so incredibly expensive when you think what’s on offer for a similar price (eg Gullivers, Chester zoo etc where there is so much more to do and miles better facilities) service is VERY slow, they need more staff overall and they need a bit of speed at busy times. Felt like there was more people there than there should have been to feel really Covid safe. Unless price was much more reasonable I don’t think we’d bother returning.

First family day out of the year due to lockdown and here is an honest review
The kids enjoyed it , luckily we got there early but despite being second in the queue it took ages to get in
Because we were there early the kids did enjoy the mazes whilst it was quieter but it wouldn’t be fun packed with kids due to the narrow walk ways which I know is part of the charm but it looked hell on them later on!
I am confused why older ones pay more when there is less for them to do ?
The den building was the most fun but could of done that for free elsewhere
Huge queue for a slide and a zip wire, something you can do at your local park, for free, without the queue
I just think there needs to be more play equipment especially for older ones, more seating, and cheaper
The food and drink variety was poor, glad we bought a picnic. The gift shop was also a let down not much there to be honest
Love the concept and the woodland setting but for the price we don’t think we’ll return. As another reviewer pointed out there is more going on elsewhere at this price

We had this booked for some time, a family of 2 adults and 2 children (8Yrs and 2Yrs) which costed us £58.
We felt the park itself was quiet for a Sunday, which we liked as you could maintain a good distance between people and the children manage to freely play the play areas. The park is clean and tidy with different play areas and tree adventures available for most ages.
We were slightly disappointed that of the two areas to have food, we came across the first one at around 12pm and the only food they had available at this time was 3 sandwiches (actual quantity not type) and childrens lunch boxes. There was no other food available at this area, it also cost us £20 for two lunchboxes and a coffee. The lunch boxes offer children a small sandwich, bag of crisps, juicebox and packet of raisins.
Overall, I’m not sure I would happily pay nearly £60 again for the activities that were available, considering it cost us only £8 more to visit Chester Zoo the next day and had a much better family day out.

Great for kids aged 3-10 providing you go on a dry day! Absolute wash out today and clear from
the outset that there are very few places to take shelter. One bell tent which was so full it resembled a scene from a disaster movie and that appeared to be it. We luckily found around a metre squared of shelter under a slide to squat in whilst eating our lunch but unsurprisingly even that was pretty miserable yet possibly the best spot in the park to do so. Lots of crying/tantruming children spotted (unsurprisingly as us grown ups felt the same) ... Get some canopies!
Shame that all of the big slides were closed due to weather. Totally understand safety first and all that but that was one of the main attractions when we booked and our children were most disappointed they didn’t get to use them all day.
Overall would never get a 5/5 as totally overpriced for what’s there in my opinion. £17.50 for a 3 year old and £19.50 per adult seems a bit ludicrous given there is very little to entertain an adult - it’s a case of following the little ones around which is certainly enjoyable, but let’s face it we grown ups aren’t there out of choice are we?! On a dry day probably 4/5 if you’ve got some cash to splurge. Food/drink once inside is limited but reasonably priced.

This is such a hard place to rate as the attraction itself is amazing and we had so much fun on our visit however I do think that the price is a little on the high side if you have a number of children.
The whole day was a huge laugh from start to finish as adults were encouraged to join in as much as the children which is a great break from the norm where us parents have to stand around and watch the kids play.
The setting was clean and green and the activities themselves are very well laid out, with lots to see and do. Our son is 10 is really did enjoy himself but I would say that this is the top age range as I wouldn't expect children of an older age to have much to keep their attention for long.
I would love to have seen maybe a crazy golf or a tree top net course just to take the whole day to the next level.
All in all though I would highly recommend for families who are happy to pay that little but more but have a whole world of magic and fun along the way.
If you are looking to eat there are plenty of picnic tables around and you are allowed to take in your own food but I found the onsite cafe quite reasonably priced.
I would also like to add that the toilet facilities were plentiful and extremely clean (spotless in fact)

Pros
Great day out in the fresh air with plenty to keep the kids entertained!
Especially loved the zip wire and slides. Appreciated the storytine show and crafting for the younger ones
Not too busy so very little queuing although I wonder whether this will be the case after covid restrictions are lifted.
Clean facilities and park
Plenty of seating around
Staff incredibly friendly and helpful
Cons
Can’t enjoy activities with a buggy in tow (we had four adults to three kids so didn’t spoil our day) - having said this, it is easy to walk around the park with a buggy. Worth taking a baby carrier though
Wouldn’t be so enjoyable in the rain
Tickets aren’t cheap but it’s a really different day out compared to usual and I’d recommend it
Food selection to buy on site seems a little limited but we took a picnic

We visited with 2 children (age 1 and 7) on august bank holiday Monday. Site easy to find. Parking well organised and entry to park easy with our pre booked tickets (we arrived around opening time) plenty of clean toilets and baby changing facilities.
We were very impressed with this place and our 7 year old loved that we could go on everything with her, quite unique to be able to do this so just let loose and imagine you’re a kid without a care in the world. The park is huge and there’s lots to do, slides are marvellous and each play area is well thought out and constructed, Quite a bit for toddlers to do with designated areas for them and a baby zip wire which ours loved. Story time was lovely and our kids loved it, the lady doing the story/puppet show was very engaging and good at her job. Our 7 year old loved the craft activity as well which was making a crown. We were there all day and left around 4, there’s lots to do and no limit on how many times you can go on things. We all loved the super wide slides where 2 or 3 of you can go down at once it was great fun. I can’t comment too much on food outlets as we took a picnic (plenty of benches) but we had coffee and ice creams which were good and around the usual price we pay when out in these kind of places.
To address some of the negative reviews, I’ll be honest we thought it was amazing but we are the type to get involved and we went on everything with our kids which they loved. If you aren’t then this probably isn’t the place for you and will be a waste of money as you’re paying to do these activities alongside them, this is the key thing here, you’ll be climbing up treehouses and navigating mazes and whizzing down big slides and zip wires - that is the whole point !
This isn’t like a theme park there aren’t rides as such, it’s a woodland adventure course.
Age suitability wise I’d say this is more suited to younger kids maybe up to 12 if they are adventurous and outdoorsy. There is a story theme that runs through the park which is more geared towards younger kids, as is the whole decor of the park.
It is quite busy and you will need to queue for some things like zip wires etc, although i felt this was to be expected on august bank holiday, it was about as busy as Chester zoo and other popular attractions currently are in terms of visitor density.
Thanks Bewilderwood - we will be back!!

We visited in half-term with a 4&6 yr old, a baby, parents and grandparents. It took 35 minutes of queuing in boiling hot sunshine to get in, despite buying tickets in advance, staff had no sense of urgency either. You then have to queue for all the slides and zip lines etc. It’s was really busy which was overwhelming for the kids too. Lots of signs up saying to keep space if an activity was full but everywhere was so full there was no chance for any space. Would be fun if it was MUCH less busy and a lot less expensive, there are really cool things to climb and do and lots of different things but with all the queues and people we would have had more fun in our local wood. Unless they bring the price down and sort out the queues we won’t be coming back.

I agree wholeheartedly with the review below. We attended as a family of four (children aged 6 & 8) on May Bank Holiday Monday. The cost was £78 for all of us, £19.50 each. We booked a week in advance.
Unfortunately the weather was a massive let down and it poured down all day. We arrived at opening and the queue moved quickly. On entering we realised all of the slides were closed due to the weather, it wasn’t raining particularly hard at this point but understand this was for health and safety albeit the kids were disappointed.
We quickly realise there is no shelter whatsoever so getting very wet was unavoidable. We took the children on the zip lines and a few of the wooden buildings / mazes and they had a go at den building but after less than a couple of hours they were absolutely soaking and complaining of being cold.
We took a picnic and there are plenty places to sit (if it was nice) but sadly in the rain the only place under cover is a bit bell tent. People were crammed underneath it sheltering from the rain which did not look Covid-19 secure and we weren’t willing to take that chance so we headed back to the car to warm up and have lunch.
The rain continued so we decided to call it a day having sadly spent less than two hours there but felt we had pretty much done everything that was open in that time.
Our day was massively impacted by the weather and lack of shelter so we certainly didn’t get value for money. Would have been more enjoyable if the slides had been open but I still don’t believe it would have been worth £78 for the family.
I accept that all of the apparatus is open to adults but really the adults are just following the kids around and keeping an eye on them. Sadly not somewhere we would return.
I feel the venue needs to provide more shelter in the event of bad weather, just a few sails or something over a few of the picnic benches would have been a massive improvement.

Is this place any good for teenagers? I have a grumpy 14year old, and always looking for new places to visit. Tia

Helloo there! We find that BeWILDerwood is best best enjoyed by families with children aged 2-12 years. However, we do find that older children and teenagers enjoy our zip wires and hugeee slides too! We often find they enjoy it more when visiting with a younger sibling too. BeWILDerwood is a family adventure park which means everyone visiting can enjoy all the play equipment just as much as children. We like to see everyone get stuck in and run, jump, swing and laugh your day away all together! If you have a teenager who enjoys the outdoors, has a sense of adventure and imagination then they should still enjoy BeWILDerwood. We hope this helps! xx

Is my daughter, at 11, too old for this? She loves forests, woodland and climbing but is it a bit kiddy?

Helloo! BeWILDerwood is best best enjoyed by families with children ages 2-12 years. Although we have special areas for teeny explorers too, including our Toddlewood on the Hill and Tiptoe Valley. Plus, adults play tooooo here so it really is a soopa doopa day out for all the family to enjoy together! We hope that helps! xx
