Of the 16 windmills on Mykonos, seven are positioned on the famous landmark hill in Chora. They were once used to mill grain, but now remain the top tourist attraction. As soon as we got off the cruise ship, we went straight to the windmills...More

We got up early before the heat of the day and there were not many people yet. The tourist groups start arriving around 10 am in our experience. The windmills were in the process of being restored and there was some scaffolding yet it was...More

Not really much more than a great photo opportunity. There are so many people it can be very difficult to get a good photo without a ton of people cluttering it up. Go very early at sunrise for the best chance to beat the crowds.

A fun tourist thing to do. Your right beside town so you can hit it up for a walk afterwards and grab a drink with a good view.

We visited the windmills earlier today but unfortunately they were tied up and not working maybe because it's off season and very windy. Nevertheless a great spot for a panoramic view of the seafront and breathtaking pictures.

I could shoot this site many ways it was so photogenic. Would have loved a sunrise or sunset photo but we weren't there that long.

Perhaps the best views of the town, really nice landscapes, it is just few minutes from the beach. Enjoy it.

The windmills themselves are a good photo opp. Located in Little Venice, the harbour area of the town centre, they back onto a miniature beach. Nice little tourist part of the island which is good for lunch/drinks but not much else to do.

About 10 minute walk to windmills from harbor and cruise ship tenders. Narrow streets and very white. Busy during tourist season.

Yes, old town is charming. But most cruises or ferries land in new port. It’s a 5-10min bus ride
