A relaxing place to take a walk, and at any time of year there will always be people relaxing there. much of it is shaded by trees, and if you are lucky there will be one of the local orchestras playing at the band stand. You may even see a cricket match taking place, but this is a rare tradition... More

Either if you try to park your car or you walk in liston or even go to the old fortress spianada square is there. Loads of kids playing around, sometimes free live concerts by local bands as well as cricket games. Big place some cemented some with grass and a part of it converted to a car park.

This is at one end of a series of park-like grassy areas which stretch from the southern end of the bay. We wanted to see the old cricket pitch, dating from the days of British administration. All that remains is the strip. On one occasion we saw some cricket taking place, so it is still used. Along one side of... More

We spent an hour sitting in the covered area of one of the cafes, Europe Café, having a drink and looking out across the 'square'. This was an afternoon and it was hot and we really enjoyed watching the world go by. Afterwards we walked across the square towards the Old Fortress and had a quick look at the few... More

A beautiful square with an expanse of grass which is used as a cricket pitch. Would be fascinating to watch a game being played given the proximity of the parked cars! An interesting mix of architecture. The Liston is an especially fine colonnade running along the western side of the Spianada.

Firstly let me say I was disappointed with the "Liston" I was expecting more from what I had read, basically just expensive Cafes and restaurants either under the arches or across the road by the side of the park. The park and surrounding area was much better, the Palace of St George and St Michael, the large and green park... More

Largest in Balkans. Created for military needs with beautiful surroundings. Situated in front of fortress making this open space ideal firing point during Venetian reign of Corfu. Very special place and lively at night with street entertainment, meeting place, families with strollers, teenagers hanging just a wonderful part of corfu town

Right in the middle of Corfu Town between the main restaurant area of Old Town and the Old Fort / sea. Lovely open grassy area with lots of benches and trees for shade. Stroll around, relax on a bench, watch the local kids play and just chill for an hour. This is where the Corfiots used to play cricket, introduced... More
