About
"Welcome! Please, come in! The Count will be with you presently. He hopes you will join him and the Countess in the drawing room for tea." This is what you would hear at Casa Parlante, the most alive historical museum in Corfu. A 19th century noble mansion comes to life with stories to tell. In the unique architectural setting of a classical mansion in the historic Old town of Corfu, the everyday life of the island's 19th century nobility is recreated. Through animated figures, using robotic technology, and the perfect reproduction of decor and furnishing, Casa Parlante promises to deliver you a true insight into bygone Corfu. Awakening all your senses, the traditions of the island unfold in front of you, depicting family life in an authentic experience of sights, sounds and smells. Before your eyes the house will come to life... Listen to the children of the family playing music, smell the aromas of the cook's virtuosic cuisine, read the headlines of the Count's newspaper... Casa Parlante is a unique museum: it brings history to life and lets the visitor breathe it in.

Lots of interesting facts and stories from the time. I would recommend. Thank you Yolanta for your knowledge. Really enjoyed it. GabeVisited October 2023Travelled soloWritten 11 October 2023
- Elvis2Petersfield, United Kingdom304 contributionsReally well organised and insightfulWe loved the experience especially how our young tour guide enthusiastically brought the story to life. The house itself is very interesting with many rooms to see and items left as they were back in the 19th century. We think this is a really good way to spend an hour doing something cultural in the old town.Visited April 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 29 April 2024
- Andrew K11 contributionsFun Adventure Back in TimeWe had a wonderful tour with Marie and we learned a great deal about the history of Corfu and the beautiful historic mansion. Marie told stories to bring the family that used to live in the home back to life, and a great deal of furniture in the home is original, which was interesting to see and learn about. It was a lot of fun, and we recommend it!Visited May 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 28 May 2024
- Charlotte R96 contributionsInformative and engaging tour.We really enjoyed our guided tour of Casa Parlante. Our guide was incredibly warm and friendly, with a great deal of knowledge and excellent English. She made the tour engaging and interesting throughout. We began in the entrance hall, where we were treated to a delicious sweet treat. When we were shown into the main living space, we were given a very strong rose liquor. Unfortunately, they didn't have an alternative for children (so I think it would be lovely if they could have some sort of juice in one of the decanters to help the children on the tour feel included). We learned a lot about Corfu's social history which was amazing. Some of the rooms featured animatronic figures to observe, representing the family who lived there in the 1800s. My son found these fascinating. The tour was relatively short but we enjoyed our visit and thought it was definitely worth it. It cost us €26 for two adults and a child.Visited June 2024Travelled with familyWritten 9 June 2024
- David FLondon, United Kingdom7 contributionsGreat Tour!Lovely visit to Casa Parlante in the heart of Corfu Town. Our tour of this traditional Corfiot townhouse was led by Maria and she narrated the story of the 19th Century re-enacted family quarters very nicely. Well worth a visit!Visited June 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 11 June 2024
- Evan C15 contributionsBrilliant and interactive way to learn about 19th century Corfu. Highly recommended!Fascinating experience to learn about life of the nobles in the 19th century. The guide was very knowledgeable, with a good sense of humor. When we were in the dining room, we even got to try liquor from that era! (Adults only). Very suitable for families as well, and my teenage daughters were as captivated as we were. We only needed to wait 15 minutes for our turn when we showed up at 12:45 PM without a reservation. In short, a must if you're in Corfu Old Town.Visited August 2024Travelled with familyWritten 27 August 2024

This was a unique experience, as we never expected that a such small museum could be this fascinating explained and arranged. The guide speeks an impeccable english and takes you on a vivid journey to the urban life of Kerkyra in the 18th century. It was also fun to follow the museum inside from room to room. We highly recommend Casa Parlante!

Im not a fan of XIX century but we gave it a chance. Very atmospheric, educational trip, short enough to not get You bored.
I forgot our guides name but she was a young woman from Thessaloniki. She handled the Tour like a pro, well informed on the topic, answering all our questions and also throwing in Her own thoughts. This worker deserves some recognition from the Museum owners!

Visited Casa Parlante this morning having looked it up on trip advisor. We had our two sons (11 and 13) with us and wanted something about Corfu history but that was interactive. You are guided round and told the stories of the family who lived in the villa. It was really accessible and gave a good insight into the cultural history of an aristocratic family and their servants in 19th century Corfu. Georgia, our guide, was excellent and also very nice. Trip only takes about 30 mins and is well worth it.

What a wonderful museum! I'm impressed beyond words. The guide, Athena, was incredibly helpful, and the tour was quite interesting, with all the interior details and cute animatronic puppets of the residents of the house. Me and my husband learned a lot, and had lots and lots of fun!

Casa parlante is really worth a visit, we loved it! The museum is very interesting, taking you back in time to see how a noble family used to live in Corfu. The experience is also a welcome change from your average museum with a tour guide walking you through the different rooms of the house. Our guide was fantastic - she was so friendly and gave a very detailed tour to us in English. I wish I remembered her name to give her recognition! Thank you.

Excellent tour, on which I was alone, i.e. tour-special history lesson. I learned too many things I didn't know, although I've been coming to the island for years. The guide polite and friendly. The ticket is worth it, you go on a time trip in this beautiful mansion where in addition to historical information you learn the history of the family that lived there (along with various gossip of the past century). It would be very nice if there was something like a very small film, like the one that exists at the Museum of the City of Athens, where you see the faces who live in the house talking and carries you even more intensely to that time. Maybe in the future!

The description is of robotic characters and of a living museum. Utter nonsense. It was 1/2 hour not the suggested 1 hour and quite boring especially for the children. Very little to see. On the flip side the tour guide was good and friendly but if we’d known how little there was we wouldn’t have paid the 10 euros a head.

Dear Mr Perks,
Thank you for taking the time and writing this review further to your
recent visit in Casa Parlante! We are very sorry to hear that you find
your visit disappointing. However, we would like to clarify some
points that might be misleading to our future guests.
First of all, it was surprising to read that you thought the tour had the
duration of 1 hour instead of half. Before any guest pay the fee for the
museum, we give them every necessary details, and that is a standard
procedure. And moreover on our website here it is stated that you need less than an hour to see it ( <1).
Secondly, you mentioned that visiting the museum is rather boring for the
children. The museum was founded in 2014 and since then we have guests that
are visiting us, again and again.People that were single and now with their
families. The children seem to be having fun especially from the age 4-5
onwards. And it is not by luck that so many schools are visiting as well.
Once again, we would like to thank you for visiting Casa Parlante and wish
you the very best!

They provide guided tours in different languages and a welcome drink, of rose liqueur, and a sweet. Your are guided around 10 rooms in a Corfiot aristocratic home set in the mid 1800’s. The tour guide was really knowledgeable and friendly. Each room is decorated with period furniture and also contains mannequins, some of which move! These added to the enjoyment although the old lady in the rocking chair is straight out of a horror film.

Very very nice if you like exploring history and culture of a place. The whole experience takes you back to the 19th century with the help of realistic figures and excellent museum tour guide. Very highly recommend visiting it.

Sorry to give a negative review but from a historical and artistic point of view this experience has a totally zero level. The first problem is that it is not specified whether what you see is all made up, since absolutely no news is given that proves the validity of what is told or there is something true. Would it be a home of an count? What count? What's the family name? To this question I was answered that the family does not want to know his surname!!!! Stuff to ask for money back! With 26 euros I enter the Uffizi in Florence and do not look at poor quality Raphael prints! Oh, please! It seems to me a mix of Internet invention, dubious Internet junk, a flea market and arranged news. But what a museum!Only positive note: the staff is kind but put to the test if questions start
