As others have said, nice, not many tourists especially in October, ruined castle you can walk through, interesting old buildings on the town streets, several restaurants, quite river. Just outside of town an interesting Roman bridge.

Really pretty small place to visit, really old... Has a medieval chateau (which you just look at from the outside) really simple and old and so genuine and different from all the flamboyant tourist chateausNice market and heaps of places to eat around market square....More

A quiet old town with a typical bastide square and surroundings, watermill and castle nearby, the church is impressive as well, clearly there is a considerable english presence locally but it is not obtrusive. Good free car park.

I come here several times every year so it's hard to single out special beauties. On market days when no cars are allowed, I'd give it 5 stars, but the cars mar the charm. There's a spectacular pastry shop too.

We based ourselves in Eymet after staying in Bordeaux for the Wine Festival. This was a very quaint and friendly place. It had a small selection of bars, pubs and restaurants located around a medieval village square. We had a great time here and would...More
