My trip to cuba included a free excursion to the Bellamar Caves in Matanzas. Overall, i'm glad I elected to go. As a tourist you only get to go into a small section of the cave, but where you do go is still wonderful. It's a long climb down hundreds of steps to reach the caves. The steps are dark... More

Well organized visit, with lots of helpful and insightful information about the geological history of island provided by a well trained guide that culminated with delicious lunch at the restaurant in the premises.

My husband and I took this tour through our Sunwing rep and we're very pleased. Our tour guide Umberto was great! I would recommend you wear running shoes and loose clothes. It is very humid in the caves and if you have issues with your knees and climbing I would defiantly not suggest this for you or people with asthma... More

Es un lugar maravilloso, no entiendo cómo no es tan popular como algunos otros lugares, si estás en varadero no desaproveches esta oportunidad, no te arrepentirás!! Puedes apreciar las maravillas que la tierra nos ofrece It is a wonderful place, I don't understand how it is not as popular as some other places, if you are in varadero not miss... More

Loved exploring this beautiful cave system. There were many different formations and crystals that left you in awe. A little on the humid side so be sure and take some water.

This is one of the few 'natural' tourist spots we saw on our trip. The guide was friendly and had a working knowledge (not necessarily proficient however), in several languages. It is not a loop, you go as far as the walkway takes you down, and then turn around and come back the same way. The total walk was probably... More

Not very large but beautiful and fun. Good for going with children. Excursion lasts an hour, guides are well prepared and the knowledge you get is somewhat interesting....Would go again.

We took a taxi from Varadero to this cave which was about 30min from where we stayed, it was definitely worth it. It is one of the oldest and biggest caves in Cuba, the entrance was 5 CUC per person and an additional 5 CUC if you wanted to bring your camera and take pictures. The guide was excellent, multi-lingual... More

I really enjoyed going on a guided tour of the caves. The formations in the caves were really cool. It was a neat way to spend an afternoon. The caves are very steep and there are many stairs so I would not recommend this attraction to anyone with mobility issues or very out of shape. Also be advised that some... More
