If you are somewhere close to this place, you need to try it out. We were there for two weeks - up and down the mountain and we used this road almost daily and never got tried of it. What a lovely place.

We took this road as a part of one day trip around the lake and it was very good for that. If you are a confident driver, there is no problem. If you are nervous, it may be stressful. Since we were going around the lake, we took the road both ways, up and down. As the driver, I had... More

Amazing road. You need to be the kind of person that enjoys driving and is confidant though as this is challenging. It is a real feat of engineering in parts with the road literally going in a spiral within a canyon in places.

This road (SP38, via Benaco, Pieve) is beautiful... as many other mountain roads are… The difference is that it is very hard to stop and park your car and driving according whom you’ll pass could make this experience a nightmare. Personnally I encountered difficulties to pass each other with a motorbikes lane, I can’t imagine what it could have been... More

If you go there take some hours to walk arround... More

Even if you just drove around one half of the lake, you wouldn't be disappointed in your visit, it is a beautiful place to drive. Over the space of a week, we drove around the whole thing. There are so many views to take in, and there are some places you just cannot stop but wish that you could -... More

i would recommend to take that slow route and have a great view of the Garda Lake. it is worth to spend 1 hour more on your way. Try to make a stop at La Terrazzina and have a cup of Italian coffee at the balcony.

We had no problems with the road or the other road users. This is the first time I have driven on the right and in a right hand drive but I had no issues. The local drivers I encountered were patient and all of the horror stories I had heard about driving in Italy were proven wrong. Well worth a... More

Don't miss this road if you are in the area On a motorbike. We were two bikes and we stopped at the Forra Bar for a coffee. Beware of mad bikers screaming round corners too fast. Unfortunately there are a few idiots who also ride this road.
