This was a quick walk from our hotel and it was very interesting seeing the rock formations and the waterfalls up close. After leaving, we enjoyed getting lost on the side streets near by.

We were staying at the top of the footpath leading to the gorge so couldn't not do it. For about €5 each we went in and around the area climbing up and down. The water torrents down the gorge, over time making bowls out of...More

Ferries to Bellano are few and far between so we planned a morning to go over, do the gorge then get over to Varenna for lunch. It isn't well signposted from the ferry but we eventually stumbled upon it only to find it didn't open...More

Well laid out pathways along canyon wall showing geological formations eroded by water over millions of years. Water ingeneously used for hydro power generation. Check opening times but closed usually between 1.30 and 3.00 pm.

A truly lovely piece of natural nature. Loved the natural beauty of the falls and caves/gorge. It's only a small place to visit so won't take up much of your day

We made a special trip here on the ferry as we wanted somewhere reasonably close by to Bellagio. We were really pleasantly surprised, it was quiet just us and two other people while we were there and we had a gentle, quiet and wonderfully calm...More

Opening times are a bit random, especially out of season, so check first. We visited 2:30 pm on a Saturday in October. It is a pretty little place with steps built around the gorge. You only need half an hour and the 3€ was worth...More

I almost didn't visit this place as the opening hours are a bit strange but I'm so glad I did. It's like something out of lord of the rings with narrow footpaths, steep drops and cascading waterfalls. Definitely worth a visit...

Hello, the walkway in some places is narrow but a baby carriage should pass, the problem is that there are stairs.
