Faro is a very old city with the castle in the center. You must visit it if you are here. In a good weather it’s amazing.

Spend a couple of hours here. The views are awesome. Have lunch or just a coffee. Then go down to the beach and walk along to Fabrica.See thousands of small crabs on the beach.Well worth a trip.

Off the track a little but really worth a visit albeit not a great deal that but suggest combining with a short drive to Fabrica.

Very nice view as all Portugal. Easy to find this place, nice always- at day and at night. You can leave Your car near this place.

The acess to the beach must be made by boat or wait till the low tide to cross walking. We prefer do it by boat (by 1.5€/adult and 1€/child from 4 to 10). I recomend you to take ALL you need with you because there...More

I read the TripAdvisor review and thought: we have to see this. Well It's really a nice relaxed place to visit. But I don't think it deserves the first place ranking it has now. It's nice that there aren't hotels and just 2 restaurants, but...More

The place is amazing. If you don’t have an umbrella you can get a small one with two deck chairs or an open bungalow for a good price. Depending on the sea, you can walk there or take a boat.

The village has a large parking in front of it. We went there late afternoon and the tide was still low, so we were able to go quite far inland and benefited from a beautiful large view of the coast and the sea. It was...More

If anything, this is even more lovely than the excellent Praia do Barril. You can only get to this beach by crossing an estuary at low tide, and then its 300-400m walk. The parking is limited. All of this means, the beach isn't crowded. When...More

As far as I know the official answer is 'no'. There are signs at all the beaches (from Altura to Mata Rota certainly) prohibiting dogs but in practice many people do bring them and they seem to be tolerated. I hope this... More
