Unspoiled beauty

Great beach spot. Picked a boat in the Fabrica area. Visited early September the beach was pretty quiet.

If you came to Algarve, near Cacela Velha you need to see the beach, just great...... Fabulous for a day with family, or friends.

This is probably the most wild and interesting beach on Algarve East. To full enjoy must go on low tide and walk thru the canals to the beach and return on boat.

When you arrive at Cacela Velha, you can easily park your car. Then you discover a beautiful village and from it a magnificent view over the seaside and the beach. You can reach the beach by foot when on low side and then come back by boat (1,50 EUR per person).

Cacela Velha is an old morish town (you can still see it in the names of the streets) overseeing a beautiful bay with a sand beach. You need a car. Before the village turn to the street on the right and then to the beach. The best is to come early to get a parking place not to far from the... More

This review is about the beach, not the little, very nice town (also worth a visit). We love the Praia Cacela Velha beach. It's a very clean, very wide white sand beach, with perhaps many visitors, but so well spread (when you go a bit away from Manta Rota) that you have the feeling to have your own private beach.... Cacela Velha, the village, the beach and the graveyard are all well worth the visit. Very pretty and unspoilt, I love the walk down to the beach - be warned at high tide not a lot of beach on the left (east side), super walk along the beach and back up to the village.

This is a nice unspoiled area - full of history and tradition. Can be reached by beach or by road. From the beach one could walk to the Spanish border. Cacela Velha is well worth a slight diversion and quite a contrast to Vila Nova de Cacela where one can access the railway

We had a fabulous time wandering round this little town and sitting in the sun. Not lots to do, but very relaxing. The stark white buildings and spots of blue colour against the blue sky and coastline made for some wonderful photos. Stop in if you're nearby.

Simple old town of Cacela velha the town looks like in Greece ! Very lovely colour of houses blue and white it compliments with the surrounding blue sky and beaches! If you are a lover of nature you will enjoy visiting the place! Nothing much to do apart from walking along the shore liking on the water and sky!
