Absolutely brilliant day out. Picked up from the hotel in a mini bus down to Skala where we jumped on board. Did a pick up at Poros and then onto Messalini Lake and then onto Fiskarado. On the way back we had a swim stop at a lovey little beach.
Crew were first class. Spoke to people and had a bit of fun with the kids.
Only downside was a couple who selfishly kept the best seat on the boat to themselves every stop, keeping their stuff on the seats so no one else could sit there. Not the fault of the crew though.
The lake stop was top class and I’d recommend anyone to do that. Ideally around midday as that’s when the sun shines into the cave and it really is a brilliant fifteen minutes. You pay extra for that, but it was only about 12 euros per person which is fantastic value. In England we would pay four times that for a similar thing. We stayed at the Apostolata and they try and drop you off at the hotel boating pod at the bottom of the hotel to save you going back into Skala but they were people swimming there so it was too unsafe but they still got us transport back. Absolutely brilliant day.
Considering all in the day was about 70 euros including the lake trip it’s massive value for money. An all day boat trip seeing the sights and then the swim stop.
Fantastic.

Exceeded our expectations as we were concerned that there would be so many people but the boat was great with plenty of covered areas inside and out as it was a hot and sunny day. They had to switch around the itinerary which meant we were in Fiskardo just before lunch but a lovely bakery was more than sufficient rather than a restaurant. The visit to the caves was really busy and despite at times having to queue in the direct sun, was worth it and I don’t think we would have made the trip there otherwise. The staff on the boat were really friendly and lots of information about the local area given over the tannoy as well as literature on board. Stopping for a swim was lovely and being dropped off via boat to our hotel was a real bonus which our teenage children thought was great. All in all a thoroughly good day - 4/5 as would have preferred longer in Fiskardo. We did the boat day trip from Skala up to Fiskardo and paid extra for the excision to the caves.

This was a great trip yesterday. We sailed up the coast from Skala stopping at Sami, and Fiscardo. At Sami we got off the boat and went to Melissani Lake on a trip costing €14 that was organised by the boat team. It was beautiful and worth the visit as it only 2k from Sami on the coach. We then went onto Fiscardio were we had 2 hours in this beautiful setting. It is stunning. We ate at Captains Cabin in the harbour, the food was excellent and very well priced. On our way back to Skala we stopped at a nice little cove for a swim for 30 mins before heading down the coast to Skala. The boat trip cost €55 and was worth every Euro. The crew are lovely and the drinks onboard are reasonably priced. We can highly recommend this trip as everyone on it really enjoyed it.

We have been on 2 cruises this week Ithaka day cruise and Kefalonian coast cruise. The boat is modern, well equipped, specially designed for the area and the crew excellent, friendly and helpful. Captain Vangelis is a great local character with lots of local knowledge and experience he is keen to share with you. The swim stops on both cruises were truly stunning and carefully selected. We did the optional Melissani cave trip on the Kefalonia coast cruise. Fiskardo, Vathi and Kioni were beautiful small villages with waterside restaurants, bars and classy shops. The weather was stunning making the cruises even more special. Can highly recommend any of these cruises. Thank for the lovely memories.

I really wish I could award more than 5 stars the customer service of this company is amazing
We did the Itheca boat trip a couple of years ago and it was such an enjoyable day I wanted to do it again. It's a full day including 2 swim stops and visits to two.beautiful. sea side villages. The staff are friendly patient and knowlegible. The boat the Nahriis is so modern you can only feel movement when they are bringing it in to Moor. We even had the privilege of a school of dolphins swimming with us part of the way.....magical.
When we got out of the taxi to join the boat the lady looking after us asked where we had come from. When I answered her she asked why I hadn't used their free transfer bus
I explained I didn't know about it and she said that they would transfer us on the way back. The mini bus was a 10 seater and there were 12 of us. The lady asked us to wait a few minutes and we were then chauffeured to our resort by none other than the Captains wife who looked like she had stepped off the cover of Vogue and what a lovely lady.
Great day out
Beautiful boat
Amazing company.
Thank You

My Wife and I had a very good day onboard, and very much enjoyed the stop offs, and the swimming opportunities. The Crew were very friendly and were very happy for you to come on the bridge and steer the ship. The Captain could not have been more accommodating, walking round and talking to the passengers. I must have spent 30 minutes talking to him and found him fascinating in his approach to his work, and his boat. Maybe increase the price by €10 and offer food during the trip. We will definitely be back for another trip the next time we come to Skala.

The boat itself is very comfortable with quiet engines and the stabilisers made the trip out at sea really smooth. The swim stops were beautiful and the villages of Vathi and Kinoni were amazing.
Captain Vangeli's and the crew were helpful, friendly and knowledgable. Captain Vangeli's even let us drive the boat which was a great experience.
Overall the trip was excellent, worth the money and we would definitely be looking at other trips with him when we return.

what an amazing trip. Captain Vangelis was brilliant and his backflip into the ocean just shocked us all! The places we stopped and the information he gave made the trip so special but the best part was the surprise visit of the dolphins on our way back to Skala. Simply unforgettable and highly recommend!!!

This trip is good value for money. We had a full day of sailing and exploring including an optional trip to the Melissani cave. The Captain varied the itinerary of our day due to another boat tour so we sailed up to Fiscardo first and then we did the caves and swim stop on the way back . It was a long day and we found it tiring but well worth it. We had the Ithaca trip booked also but decided to cancel it and do that the next time we go back , which we definitely will.

Absolutely brilliant cruise, where you get to enjoy the views with a tasteful selection of music and lower engine noise. The part that made me rate this experience as 5 stars is the fact that the captain really goes above and beyond to ensure you are satisfied, with him organising a taxi to take us to and from our hotel both times we went on a trip. Not to mention the fact that the second trip was 15% off. Would highly recommend if you are staying near Skala!

Hi, is this trip appropriate for children (ages 4 and 8) who are not safe swimmers?
Are there life jackets available for them?
Thank you
Written 16 August 2021
There are life jackets available, however the trip is more suited to children aged thirteen and over. There were no younger children when we went. In my opinion, it's more of an adults and older teenagers type trip.

Hi , where did you book this trip from ? We are thinking of visiting Kefalonia soon and are probably going to stay in Skala . How do we book the trip to Fiskardo ?
Written 28 July 2019
For anyone reading this and staying in Katelios, there is a shop on the road away from the beach that does bookings. We arranged a pick-up outside the supermarket across from Mythos and our trip could not have been better organised.

Hello can you please tell me more about the Zante Cruise, did you get to swim at Shipwreck Bay and the blue caves and how many people were on the boat.
With thanks
Jody
Written 4 March 2019
About 100 on our trip (ie) there was plenty of room, it is a big boat.
We swam at Shipwreck Beach (although really it is not that good for swimming there), but not at the Blue Caves - too rough - and we actually did not even stop there.

Hello could you tell me more about the cruise, How long did you get to stay at Melissani Caves. Also how many people were on the Cruise.

Hi
We are booked to go on the boat trip to Fiscardo tomorrow and we are wondering where you get collected from or where the boat departs from?
Thanks
Written 15 August 2018
A bit late, sorry! We booked the trip in Skala and just opposite where we booked it is his boat, down on the seafront. His boat can be seen in the sea there and that’s where we waited to board.
Written 17 August 2018
Hi we will be staying at Katelois- do you pick up from here or do we have to get a taxi or bus ?
Many thanks
Written 11 August 2018
You need to get the coach in Skala near the supermarket or (like we did if you have hired a car) drive to Poros and get straight on the boat there.

Hi, i'm wondering if anybody can help me..
I'm intrigued by the Kefalonia Coast Cruise, however, i'm wondering how long the swimming stops are approximately/if you can get on the beach during these times for those who cannot swim? Thanks!
Written 17 June 2018
The stops last around 15 to 20 minutes and 1 stop you swim from the boat and 2nd stop is from the beach on the Fiskardo trip.
Written 17 June 2018

You need to contact captain vangellis website or call them. The trip departed from the beach at Skala, some history explained but not very detailed. Cost is 40e per person and it’s a complete day out departing 9am returning 5ish.
