This is a small site so if you have an hour to spare & you’re nearby I recommend a visit. Although parts have been destroyed there is a lot of the beautiful mosaics intact. When we visited at the end of September it was open...More

Although we have been to Skala seven times this was the first time we visited the ruins. It was amazing to see the detail that was put into building these ancient structures...This is only a small site but is free and well worth a visit.

Entrance to the roman villa is free but worth 1/2 hour to go and look. The mosaics have been well preserved and are clear to see.

The mosaics were very detailed and some were in really good condition with the colours still apparent. Covered over with a shelter and an attendant present. There was a purpose built walkway also. No charge.
