Agios Georgios Beach
Agios Georgios Beach
4.5
About
This long horseshoe-shaped bay in northwest Corfu is about a 45 minutes drive from Corfu Town. This sandy and pebbly beach has calm and clear waters—great for swimming—and plenty of sunbeds for rent, and water sports amenities, including a boat taxi to the popular Porto Timoni Beach nearby. Stay until sunset to enjoy spectacular views against the Ionian Sea, before hitting up the nearby tavernas and restaurants for food and drinks. This beach is also known as Agios Georgios Pagon, not to be confused with Agios Georgios Argyradon located further south. It can get busy since it's near the city center, especially during summer. – Tripadvisor

It's an okay beach if you're staying locally
A very long, mostly sandy beach. There are sunbeds and water activities. Nothing too special at the daytime, although during sunsets there is a lovely view on Porto Timoni. We have stayed nearby and used to go to this beach, although I wouldn't specifically drive to it from somewhere else.

    Nice place
Long sandy beach ,deserted when we visited in late April , suited us , we had hired a car from Corfu Town and drove there. Took under an hour , but be warned the roads are very twisty and tight, Nice drive though through mountains and small villages. Clean place

Mary’s apartment behind Cozy cafe (4th building back) are two wonderful two-bedroomed apartments, very clean and modern.

Mary is a fantastic host, keeps the apartments spotless and gave us food and produce from their garden, lovely family.

The beaches at Agios Georgios are amazing, long and sandy with shallow water, perfect for all the family.

Restaurants have good and and great value, Oceano has great sea bass and bream at a good price.

Excellent location, and relatively quiet. Make sure you bring enough euros with you as the ATMs are robbery. With an extortionate exchange rate, and transaction charge, end up getting about 20% less than you would in the UK.

Visited this beach for a day recently. Would describe it as a lovely beach sandy in the main with some pebbles. The water was clear and lovely for swimming and safe for children. In October the sunbeds were plentiful and priced at 7 euro with a brolly for the day. Plenty of local cafes and stores to provide refreshments and overall would say this was a beautiful, beach lovely scenery around and in all a great place to spend a warm sunny day.

We went there with two scooters for a couple hours. The beach is really nice, crystal clear water. Even if the cost of the food seems to be above average, they are delicious, worth to have them.
If you want to keep your budget a local supermarket is next to the restaurants.

The surroundings are really nice, the beach is really worth to visit.

Lovely sandy beach. Plenty of shades - cost ranges from 8 euros on the south end of the beach to 12 euros towards the centre. Behind the beach, there are lots of tavernas and bars for food and drinks, plus a couple of supermarkets

A clean, beautiful beach with many umbrellas to rent. Spent there four days and had the best time. The weather got really windy on our last day so it was a bit risky to go in the water, but saw that many people were having an amazing time with the waves.

The water and bay is amazingly beautiful. There is a good amount of chairs available which is good if you want shadow. However, the prices are a bit high for two chairs and a parasol (8 Euros). On the bright side you have it for the whole day and it is possible to lie on the beach with your own towel and umbrella if wanted. There is a short distance to bars and restaurants from the beach.
However, sometimes the sellers of donuts and fresh fruit can get annoying. There is sometimes a constant spamming from speakers with offers for sale. That would be nice to not to have.
And if not to be removed - please switch it up a little. It gets tiering with the same speech every time.

This beach is about a 3-5 minute walk from Bruskos where we stayed. It's a long beach with several tavernas having sunbeds & umbrellas on the beach. If you use these sunbeds you tend to get service from the attached tavernas. The beach is sandy but can get quite stoney as you enter the sea; worse on some bits than others. There is quite a steep drop from the beach to the sea at some places but after that the walk into the sea is quite steady. Sea was always clean. Can get a bit windy at times which can make the seas fairly choppy but not enough to stop you swimming.
