It is not that big as the term Mansion will indicate, but it is very interesting. Very high tall ceilings, which I believe were done for the heat in the summer times. Beautiful wood carvings and interesting drainage system of the inside courtyard.

While the rooms were fairly sparse, it was still interesting to see an historic mansion and be able to walk through the various rooms and courtyard that still exist. The place is quite small (only 30 people in at a time), but it's free and...More

This expansive mansion, home to an important Macanese family, although relatively bare of the furniture it once would have contained , still gives a wonderful glimpse into the wealth and power of the family. A lovely building with so many rooms, courtyards etc. A must...More

A beautiful and authentic house in the middle of the old city. Went through all rooms on the ground floor and got the chance to visit the upper floor. Very well preserved and worth checking out if you’re visiting

Hardly a mansion, but the Lou Kau house is free to visit and well worth seeking out. The upstairs isn't open, but the rooms downstairs are quite charming and have a lot of decor detail you won't find elsewhere. Closed on Mondays.

This is a beautifully maintained mansion. It gives you a glimpse of the opulence lifestyle from the owners. The site is very informational. It is worth it to check it out.

I like their decoration details and although it is not as big as the Mandarin's House. To me, this mansion is more beautiful.

Only those who see the value of this rather "small" mansion would realize why this place was included in the UNESCO Heritage. If it's just a 1 minute away from Senado Square and the Se cathedral, why not visit? Especially for those who do not...More

Unless you have never seen a Chinese mansion before, this is only worth a ten minute look if you are already in the area. Rather bare and not much to see.
