This museum is very small you can everything there within 30 minutes The display is very basic and somehow boring There is no proper way finding signs leading to the museum, it is on top of a hill near St. Paul's.

This is a museum that has little to add to a Macau trip. As with the history museum in Hong Kong, it largely erases the European contribution (500 years in Macau!), focusing instead on Cantonese culture. I suppose this is due to pressure from the large country to the north. Not great. Suggest walking in old Macau, visiting its parks... More

I have been to Macau many times. This is the first time i visited the Museum. It is next to St Paul's. The museum is not very well known. We asked direction from a traffic police - he has to radio-in as he does not know there it is. It is well worth a visit - a green and cultural... More

It's on top of the hill, near the ruins of St. Pauls, in a very relaxing courtyard atmosphere with great views from the top. Easy to tour, can take as long or as short as you feel like. Good history of Macau, good relics, very interesting, even for my 10 year old. The old canons outside at the top of... More

An amazing (and balanced) view of the history of Macau. Great displays looking at the various activities in colonial Macau. All displays have Chinese and English wording - and some are interactive too! Went over Easter so it was free - so maybe check with Tourist Office for free entrance time?

This is a very unique museum. It is built over a historic landmark which is an old Portuguese Fort. The museum which is a modern building was strategically built into and on top of the fort. This place is located right next to the ruins of St Paul. Hence can visit both these locations in a single trip. The museum... More
