Worth going here before 10 am as the crowds make it impossible to get a decent photo. Don't forgot to see the crypt at the northern end of the ruins - beautiful catholic artifacts on display . Located above the lovely old Portuguese town where you can head for a coffee. Must go to Caravello. - best European coffee in... More

The monument itself is probably not more than the memory of the Portuguese time but it is something to see due to the interesting atmosphere (the stairs in front of the Facade that are full of tourists) and to get a glimpse of how Macau was in the old days

Ruins of St. Paul's is a must go place in Macau. Around here, you can buy all snacks and souvenirs you need. The best time to visit is as late as possible. Do avoid Chinese Festivals, otherwise, there will be crowd of people. The safety here is quite good. You can see Police force patrol around.

The amount of people here during the weekend is staggering. The ruin itself is beat up pretty bad. From here you can walk onwards to the lighthouse and that is a better option according to me.

I see that others who visited on the same day we did report the ruins were very crowded; that was not our experience at 8pm. The ruins were beautifully lit up and we shared the space with only a few others. Everywhere we walked was well lit and people we encountered were friendly (included families, folks exercising and locals getting... More

As you can imagine with a famous site like this, it was very busy with tourists. It's a great site to visit and there are many shops around it to grab some souvenirs if required.

The Ruins of St. Paul is a one of the historical places in Macau and the most famous landmark. Its a must on every tourist travelling to Macau- its a short walking distance from the Senado Square- one gets to see this pretty church with Portuguese influence. The ruins from the distance looks even more prettier- with lush gardens on... More

Definitely a must see. Take the time to stroll the streets, get an egg tart and meander up to the ruins. We were there on December 30 so may have just been a lot of people on vacation but the place was packed. Nonetheless, the ruins are interesting and the area surrounding has some very nice architecture that reminded me... More

The ruins of St. Paul's are a must for any Macau visitor, especially first time ones. It is an interesting historical site, despite the immense crowds of tourists and mainlanders taking selfies on the stairs in front of the ruins. It is particularly nice at around sunset on a sunny day. Do not forget the public space behind the ruins,... More
