Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

At a first glance this might seem like yet another tourist knock-off shop but it is actually different local artists who sell their Greek art. We loved it and went more than once. The price level is very good - not to say low.
We bought statuettes, ceramics and a small painting.

We stumbled onto this shop on our last day of vacation in Athens, and it was a lovely change of pace from the kitschy tourist shops in Plaka. The gallery is a co-op housing the work of many local artists from all over Crete, many of which use traditional symbols or techniques in their work. Most of the prices in the gallery are quite affordable for the average souvenir shopper, but there are a few more expensive pieces as well.

Reasonable prices and very nice work - everything from the wooden paintings of ships to jewelry to artifacts. I always enjoy coming in and always end up buying something as well.

We wandered into this store because it did not have the same old tourist trinkets that one finds everywhere in Athens. It is a cooperative of local artists and has some delightful handmade work. A very nice find among the throng.

The store is very tastefully decorated and has an excellent collection of egg tempera boat paintings as well as sculptures and jewelry - both modern and classic - and I have purchased from them twice. They will mail your items as well. Make sure they package them in boxes - not just bubble wrap. I will return the next trip to Athens. This store and Gallery Demeter are my favorite shops in Athens.
