Slightly disappointed with this Chateau, was expecting something much grander, and at the time of our visit, two of the public rooms were not open. (Music room and dining room)so it was quite a short tour inside the house. Considering the small size of the...More

Lovely Chateau and grounds are on the river Le Lude. Unfortunately inside tours are only in french. But still this is a must see.

We did not get inside since it is only with guided tours and it did not look as something worth the time. We tour the gardens (very nice but not overwhelming or something) and look at the building from close (again nice but...).

We visited the gardens only, which are surprisingly large. Sadly the kitchen garden and orangery are not usually open to the public. There are formal gardens including a rose garden and then more rustic gardens which are like walking in the country, including alongside the...More

We watched the start of Le Lude Renaissance festival and wandered around the stalls until the chateau re-opened at 2pm. Cost €5 each (usually €8.50). Small shop selling gifts / souvenirs. We received a pamphlet (French / English) and used the small map to explore....More
