This was our second visit to this gem of a location. Cobbled streets & all so clean Houses are also very clean & tidy & freshly painted.. I was rather surprised to see that some ‘clumsy unthinking tourists’ had discarded cigarette ends on the street,...More

The final stop on our tour of the towns around Benidorm. Already old town was the prettiest and most relaxed, and this building was definitely impressive!! Looks better from inside even though the outside is striking. It is in the middle of a warren of...More

What a wonderful and individual experience. The cobbled backstreets surrounding the church are great to explore. Reaching the top the views are glorious. Plenty of bars and restaurants on the approach. Really pleased we made the effort to take the family.

The square surrounding the plaza has many bars, restaurants and ice cream shops. Great place to chill with a glass of wine or to have lunch or dinner!

DO NOT miss a visit to this church, even as non-religious I could appreciate its beauty and calm. Wonderfully decorated in mostly white and gold it really is a sight to behold.

Quite a steep climb but if you have no time limit it is well worth it. A few little stalls at the top and some quirky little shops and bars.

Stunning architecture and the fittings are incredible. From the moment you enter the church you are almost overwhelmed by the level of detail within.

Beautiful church inside and out. The glazed blue tile roof can be seen for miles as the church sits on a prominent hill overlooking the seaside town of Altea. We parked about a mile away and walked up. Some of the way takes you through...More

Yes you can get a taxi to it. There is a small taxi rank quite close(just before) the 222 steps up the hill, which makes the worthwhile trip to the church with all the restaurants really easy on your legs.
