Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A gorgeous church inside and out. It can be found in a little square at the top of the town. It was very quiet here during the day - although we did visit in February!

Great quite little village with a stunning church. Worth the walk to the church, and the stunning views across Albir and Benidorm

Church of Our Lady of Consolation of Altea. A very beautiful and serene spot, with a plaza outside buzzing with the surrounding restaurants, bar and tiny streets filled with shops. The hike up is well worth it, lots of beautiful view points on the way.

Nuestra Senora del Consuelo is the "lighthouse" of Altea. Both cupolas are magnificient and it is also worthwhile to visit the inside of the church.

A charming and impressive church which is well worth the walk through Altea's winding streets and passageways.

Altea is so lovely. White washed streets; oranges growing on trees; little artist shops; cute little cafes. I just wandered around the little streets then had a sangria in a little cafe in the sun by the blue domed church. Easy to get to on the tram from Alicante

This is a beautiful church at the top of the hill in the old town and is full of beautiful artwork and statues, definitely worth a visit. There is a donation box as you get into the actual church on the left which helps them to be able to keep this free attraction open so why not help them.

Gorgeous church at the top of Altea village. Get a cab up, have lunch outside and walk down.
There’s a very very small museum at the back, the local ladies were very happy we visited.

If you visit the area, Altea Old Town is a must.

Quaint Spanish lanes laden with small shops and restaurants that run into the main Church Square.

Some fabulous vantage points back across the bay towards Benidorm so great photo opportunities.
